I am trying to decide which signature restaurant to pick, last trip we went to The Yachtsman. My husband is a steak fan! My choices are between Le Celier, Citricos, Narcoosees, Artist Point, or California Grill. I like Artist Point because we got married at Wilderness lodge so it's more sentimental. But I also like that we could have great views of fireworks at some of the other places. Please help me choose!

I'd definitely rule out Le Cellier from your list. It's just not in the same league as the others. Of the remaining, Citricos is our least favorite as I haven't found the food to be at the same level as the other restaurants and the ambiance is nothing special either. Between Narcoossee's, Artist Point, and California Grill you really can't go wrong with any of them. Artist Point is great so if you have a sentimental connection then go for it.

Artist point is a favorite of ours but so is Cali grill. Both have good steak options. from wilderness you could take the boat to contemporary for fireworks. You can watch from the walkway between bay lake and contemporary. Or ask if you can go up to Cali grill for a drink and watch from up there. Or if you are DVC go to top of bay lake.

The key term you gave me.... "My husband is a steak fan! ".

Please, STRONGLY consider Shula's at the Dolphin. They DO take TIW, they REJECT DDP. Of the the others that accept the DDP? Any will do.

It would be between Artist Point and Narcoossee's for me...and since you have a sentimental connection to Artist Point, that would sway me in that direction.

Have a fantastic trip!

We loved the filet at le Cellier. They also have some delicious fries with bacon & cheddar and some good desserts.

Citricos...meh. To me, not one of the better signature experiences.

Artist Point...never been there; interested in opinions as well!

California Grill...Amazing. My top recommendation. We've stayed at CR in a TPV room and done Wishes Dessert Party...but this is the top spot for watching fireworks to me!

Narcoosee's...great food. My next to top recommendation.

Le Cellier...good food; horrible service

Shula's is the best steakhouse. It will also have the fewest kids if that's important to you for a romantic meal.

Le Cellier has what I consider the perfect meal - cheddar cheese soup, mushroom risotto fillet, fake poutine, and maple creme brûlée.

That said, from your list, I'd probably pick Artist Point.

Monsieur Paul, in Epcot, also has a very good fillet. And they have a $30 bowl of soup too. So there's that.

Thanks everyone! I think I've narrowed it down from your responses to Cali grill, artist point or Narcoosees. At least it's a start lol. We will be on the DDP so Shulas is out for us.

Id definitely take Le Cellier out of the list...as mentioned above it is not in the same league as the others on your list

I think you are wise removing Le Cellier from your list. I myself found the place dark, loud and very cramped with tables stacked upon each other. As for the service Ok; and the steaks? Outback with mushroom sauce and rice. I may be a little harsh on LC because of my own bad experience there, but I just don't think it even comes close to being a signature restaurant.

Between your remaining list of CG, AP and Narcoossee's that is a tough one and I"m sure you will enjoy whichever one you choose. For me I'd list Narcoosee's first, Artist Point second (sentimental value for you) and California Grill third.
  • Narcoossee's: My favorite restaurant in WDW not named V&A. I love the atmosphere and offers an excellent view of Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant. The service is very good. They do have an excellent filet. And they also have what I believe to have the best dessert in all of WDW in the Almond Crusted Cheesecake.
  • Artist Point: Large, but one of the quietest dining rooms in WDW. I can't believe I stayed at the WL three times before finally going there. Love AP. For the beef lover it is an excellent choice. I myself love their salmon.
  • California Grill: Awesome view. From there the experience begins to go down a bit. The service for me has been very spotty my three times there; seems like once they learn you don't want alcohol the attitude changes.. The place can be loud. The sushi is excellent; the entree's are average to good. However, the dessert menu really lets me down. I just don't get the Sunday Sampler, fritters and Breakfast for Dessert in a signature restaurant.

Out of your choices, you have three of my favourites that I hope to book tomorrow ( my 180 day ) and you have mentioned my only disappointment restaurant in all my trips, Le Cellier, however you haven't mentioned my number one, Jiko..The fillet with Mac & Cheese ( still available if you ask ) is outstanding...

Le Cellier's not worth two dining credits, IMO. When it was a one-credit restaurant, it was amazing. It's still great, but not on the same level as the others.
