Sign Ups Paper Bag Album!!!!!!! Now Due July 30th!!!

Well, that's good news!! Thank you Maria for extending the due date!!

I also had the same question Nancy does about the Epcot book. When you said Epcot "Worlds", I was thinking the 2 Epcot Worlds: Future World and World Showcase. Is that it? So, the books could be maybe half and half, and more general Epcot rather than country or ride specific?

Would there be any interest in a "Dog" book? I've seen a lot of them on 2 Peas and the brown paper really fits the pup/ dog subject.........plus, this is the week for me!

I might also be interested in the last DCL spot.

I was thinking more the World Showcase.. just because my kids won't ride any of the major attraction in the future world area... of course it doesn't help having a worry wart mother either!!

Okay, I have to scoot... I have to get the kids ready to head for an away track meet.. in this beautiful sunshine! Yeah!! ;)

Actually when I said EPCOT Worlds, I was meaning all the Countries, but you can do what you want to, it will be interesting what we all come up with! PN96, if your kids don't go on the rides, don't worry about it! We will just do the Countries!!!! I have no problems with that!!! I bet Karen doesn't either! We will just have to ask her!!! It will be fun!

As far as doing a doggie book, I will add one!!!! I have no problem with that!!!! Woof Woof all the way!!!! :dogdance:

Would anyone be interested in doing a Winnie the Pooh group? I think they could make great albums for my nieces and newphews with Pooh characters throughout plus my inlaws are all into Pooh stuff.

EPCOT Countries are fine for the book! I'm not a big ride person either, Nancy. I do take a lot of pics of the grounds around the Future World pavillions, especially when there are a lot of flowers blooming...and with the Monorail coming, etc. The countries would be fun, though.

Thanks for the doggie book addition, Maria. This weekend is my puppy visit to choose my little guy. I'm so excited! :cloud9:

well now that the due date has been really changed, sure that would be fun. :) if that group shows up, I'd be up for it. :) maggie

I just got back from JoAnn's and bought some fun Mickey paper. So you really have to put me in a Mickey & Friends group.

Great! Countries it is for me.. I will be taking more pictures this time around Karen now that I know what I'm looking for.. and with DH we will be taking things a lot slower so as to not aggrevate anything...and to spend more time with the kids.. I think 7 fun filled days will allow us that.. I'd love to stay more... but I'm sure DH's work will be calling every zippen hour anyway.. Last time they called while we were at our character breakfast.. I wasn't nice when I took the call and told them he'd call back after we finished our family meal!

Okay, evil one, you have earned your name with me! There was no way I could get these done with a May due date, but stretching it until July? How can I resist?

Pretty please make a Pooh and Friends group! I have to be in that one! And then if there's still a spot in Mickey and Friends I could do that too.

BTW, Nancy - my kids are the exact opposite of yours - I couldn't pay them to set foot in the World Showcase, as much as I love it. They do all the thrill rides of Future World and then are done for the day. They kept driving me nuts, saying "This is a quick park. There's nothing to do here." Nothing to do!?!? I could spend a week in Epcot and not get bored. You are planning on doing Turtle Talk though, aren't you? That's a must-do for all ages! My hard-to-impress 13 year old leaned over in the middle of it and said "I *love* this!" And my personal favorite - Soarin - not scary, just fun.

My little ones are too short for the rides...and being the readers they are.. they see anything about the rides at Disney at problems they won't ride...
My DS10 is deathly afraid of Mission Space... he doesn't want any part of it.
But we do see Future World.. we just barely ride anything.. Turtle Talk is a must.. We saw it for the first time in 2005 and the kids loved it. As the saying went... for the remainder of the day say "DUDE" to drive your parents crazy.. Well, they did just that.. At one point they could say "DUDE" in every language of the World Showcase! :thumbsup2 As for Soarin.. I want to try it next time..but I doubt a few of the kids will try.. so DH and I will have to decide who is staying in or out.. The kids like for me to stay out because we sneak out for a snack! LOL I mean we should have just as much fun as the riders, right? :rotfl:

The last time I went they didn't have Turtle talk or soarin, so I will have to check those out the next time I go which is hopefully next year!!!! We are saving our sheckles!!!! I have it booked too! So hopefully it will happen!!!!

OK, You guys are going NUTZ!!!!! I am glad! This is going to be a fun swap!!! I love these little books and you will too!!! There are 4 spots open and hopefully by Friday we will have them filled! Then I will close and we can just concentrate on making paperbag books!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

You guys have to try Soarin! I chicken out last Oct but we did it this Feb. It is so cool. It's the initial lifting up of the chairs and going forward towards the screen that get your blood pumping! But after that it is really spectacular! It isn't jerky at all and it doesn't make sudden moves. DD would warn you about the golf ball! Still havent' tried Test Track. We did Mission Space back in 2004 when it first opened. That is so neat. Haven't done it since. We may try the Green version next time. Tell your sonn that if he doesn't want to ride he can be a Mission Control person in the control room!

Thanks DownRiverMama I will talk to him about that.. I always try to have the kids experience everything at least once.. so you can only imagine how he is with new foods.. and he is the pickiest of the bunch!! I should start taking photos of our meals! I'd have some great faces.. Maybe I'll do that..
"The many faces of a picky eater!"
I already have a page going called "Da Butt" ... My stepson loves to laugh at these situations...so one time we were at the zoo..and a duck was diving for his food.. well the only thing we could see was his tail in the air..and of course he took the picture of it.. so there started the photo bananza of pictures..

Soarin' is SO worth it. Don't miss it! I was warned by a friend that the initial lift-off (though it's slow and smooth) might cause some disequalibrium, but after that it's great. That's what I experienced, too. So, I closed my eyes until the glider was up in the air and then it was great. It's mainly the effect of the video in front of you along with slowly lifting up that kind of makes you a little dizzy for a minute. If that happens, just close your eyes for a couple of seconds. It's exhilarating!!!

Ok- I'm kicking myself for not signing up but with the May due date I just could not. Now with the July date there is nothing but DCL open and I have already scraped my cruises!
If another group opens (like seasons), I would love to join.

I think there are still 4 slots open.

Disney General
Dogs
Pixar Friends
Cruise

At least there are gaps in those groups. :confused3

Ok- not to cause a panic around here- but right now, I do NOT have any Disney trips to scrap, there fore I would rather have other topics.
