I just called to get a quote out of curiosity. If we go this year, it will be without DH since he started a new job and won't be able to get time off.

My quote was for Aug 21-29 and the CM told me without being asked that we had a 40% code assigned to us.

Now to convince DH that the kids and I should go by ourselves!!

WDW1st-Timers? Do you know what threats? I'm lost. I was given the discount without even asking. I was calling to ask about DDP, and the CM offered the discount to me if I changed the date I was arriving.

I wouldn't worry about it. There has not been a problem yet that is NOTED. No one has receive a phone call or letter saying that code was not ment for us. There is alot of "talk" out here but that's all it is, just talk. The way I look at is............. There are the Disboards...there are all the other tons of Disney boards out there too plus all the lurkers that just read and don't post. On our thread alone there is almost 60 people that have signed and there are tons that haven't. I figure that the numbers are porb. in the 1000's that have used this code that did not have a pin number attached to their name or household and Disney could of stopped it weeks ago when it came out; but still today there are people booking with it. Disney knows about it and they must be fine with it or it would of been stopped by now. That is my own personal opinion and I'll bet I'm right. I have called DIsney about 10 times now...NO JOKE and told them EXCACTLY what is happening on these boards and that I was scared that I didn't want my trip to be ruined to find out that I'm back to paying rack rate. ALL the CM's I spoke to told the that everything is fine and they know that I have no pin to my name and that they are awaiting for my arrivial in September. Things will be fine....just blow it off as it's just "rumors" some (not all) people start to get others all worked up in an uproar. Overall just think....your going to Disney, It's the year of a Million Dreams.

Anyone willing to share this code or give me a hint where to find it? I have read this thread all the way through 3 times and don't see it! I am desperate for a discount for my May Poly ressie. I'm very close to changing it as the price is getting to me, but I really want to stay at a monorail resort. Please? Anyone? Hmmm? Hmmm? Just a little hint? I'm on my knees!

I did find one code and called Disney 6 different times tonight with it and every CM said I had to have the pin code and they were all sure to point out that I just missed the expiration date for a pin code that was under my name!!

Count me in. I had a ressie already, found out the 3 letter code, called and asked if I was eligible to use it, and he said no problem. I was able to use it for both rooms on my ressie, one of which was in my dad's name, the other in mine. We are going 9/28-10/3, staying at Pop. Now I am thinking about calling to add a 2 night room only ressie at the end of our stay to do MNSSHP. DH said we could do CR if I could get the 40 %. I have the 3 letter code for room only, I'm just a little nervous to try. I don't want my other package ressie to be messed with! We'll see! Happy planning everyone!

Okay- just made my 15th attempt at getting the code applied to my ressie with no avail. Everytime the CM puts me on hold and comes back and tells me they can't go any further without a pin. They can put in the code, but the system won't let them apply it without a pin. Is any one absolutely sure there was no pin under your name, or is it possible that you all happen to have the code under your name in the system and so the CM was able to apply it?

If you know for sure that the system didn't have a pin for you, do you have any tips? They all make it sound like the system will not allow them to move on without the pin.

I told her the 3 letter code for room only, she tried to apply it, and said no, it won't work, you need a pin # for that. I didn't question her about the fact that I had booked 3 weeks ago using the 3 letter code for packages, because I was afraid to mess up my package ressie. Have you just tried calling back and asking to add two nights to the existing resv. number without offering any code? It could be that you may have actually been booked under something else without the CM telling you. I've made three changes to my resv. and never offered any code number what-so-ever but knew I was receiving 40% off based on the new price quoted.

Sorry...Re-read your post and figured out you were going from a package for the first part of your trip to room only for the days you are trying to add. I can tell you from looking at my confirmations received via mail that my original resv. included tickets and had the three-letter code printed on it. When I dropped the tickets, the new conf. did not reference any code at all. So maybe some of the room-onlys have been assigned something completely different?
