sigma upgrade

i just saw on sigma site my particular lens needs an upgrade to work with my new camera( which was shipped today btw)

anyone had to do this or know how it actually happens( in a perfect world they would say "pick out what ever lens you want for free" but i know that is not the real world solution )

Depends on which lens it is.

Some Sigma lenses can be upgraded to work with Canon digital cameras. Sigma charges $10 for this if your lens can be upgraded.

Some Sigma lenses cannot be upgraded. Sigma has a trade-in program for these lenses that will give you a percentage off the purchase price of a new Sigma lens.

i did email them and sent a copy of my warrenty card so i guess i 'll have to wait and see
