Thats my feeling as well.

The thread was going hunky dory - because no one was challenging the fact they they (all) were innocent, which IMHO, wasnt the case.

I don't know. I did read the sticky about the "recent bannings" and the "hostile website". It is my understanding that if you visit there, you will be banned. We have 2 posters here, Disfav and CN proudly dragging all that crap from THERE, over HERE.

Why is that allowed?

Are they ridiculing people for being idiots? Rude, or whiners? You know, some people are. I've run across a few, even here. I've been treated very rudely, and it was absolutely ignored by the mods. If I'd had a chance to go somewhere other than here to complain bitterly, I would have. I guess that makes me bad in the eyes of some.

I get ignored all of the time, too. I see attacking and arguing/discussing as being different. I get into "discussions" fairly often. I've been attacked 2x's.

Why is there a VMK board if there isn't a VMK?

Not trying to be offensive at all. Just thinking about the ideas presented. It's weird when you just pop into and out of this place. I've a couple of boards (teachers, parenting) I visit where I would be offended to be banned for what is said somewhere else.

Go back and read some of the posts about what these people were saying there.

I love to argue and discuss things. But, when people start saying things about me when they have no idea what the circumstances are, then I take that as an attack.

There isn't a VMK board anymore. You don't see it do you? It's now been changed to Disney Online Games.

I don't think this thread is about a couple people. However, there are 2 people posting here that have had numerous posts on the other board about themselves so why wouldn't they post on this thread? After all, this thread is about the "CB has changed" and "banned people are missed" etc. and it was all about the other board.
I'm sure for the DIS there was more than most of knows and more than just nasty comments about Cathryn Rose and Disneyfanforever (I know I got that wrong!). But to the two of them, that is how they see that board so they're venting about their feelings about it. I do not think they are honestly making it "all about them".

The other board is really a lot of the SOS so I'm sure there are a lot of people who used to read there often who rarely read there anymore. i used to daily (years ago--back when it was SB vs.JB ) but as time went on, the drama got old and the vents seemed to focus on about 4 people and it became more and more of the SOS.

There is still some nice people over there who've been around for a long time. There are still people over there who I think can be pretty mean yet I still believe if we met, we'd have fun at WDW. And there is still people over there who I think have no clue and THEY annoy the heck out the orginal people,

Whatever people may think about the other site, the truth is that waaaaaaay to many innocent people were banned. Period. There are a few people who were (and still are) gleeful that this whole thing happened. They somehow feel vindicated for all the bad things people have said about them. Even as a lurker, I can tell you that most of the drama is brought on by all parties involved. It's changed the CB - alot. Great people have been forced to find other places to spend their time - it's a huge loss for the DIS - period.

I don't visit there. I am just trying to clear up that it was not all inoccent posters that were banned, like some people seem to think.

I'm am not trying to hijack this thread and make it all about me, and I don't think Cat is either. But I am entitled to my opinion as much as anyone else is, and I'm not going to keep my mouth shut just because some people disagree with me.

Fair enough. I suppose it really isn't my problem. I just have this need to see all sides of the problem, sometimes. I do agree that I could have a good time at WDW with about anyone!

Again, I disagree with this. They are not bringing the stuff here from there. Not now. They are saying they were racked over the coals on that site and so to remind people that every banned person from here was not innocent. That isn't saying everyone, but several. Some just chose to "ban" themselves from here but going out defending their friends and getting themselves banned. the DIS really didn't "ban" all those people--they chose to be banned. And I can feel for them. I remember when Dan was let go from moderating the CB. I was hopping mad and could have easily gotten myself banned But, I chose not to.

When CR's DH and son was discussed, it had to infuriate her. Anyone who thought that was OK is sick. Anyone who thinks they are so perfect or beautiful in their looks to comment on a poster's photo is too. If you must pick apart what people are saying, have at it but leave their looks and their families out it. Chances are, your own roots are showing!

Why do people find it necessary to argue on an internet forum?

What's with the whole "do you know what so and so said"? seems kind of juvenile to me.

We don't all have to agree or have the same opinions or views from the best type of pie to eat to our political prefrences. Each and every person is entitled to make their own decisions. No amount of name calling, nastiness, etc. is going to sway them.

If someone asks an open question for an opinion and I feel so lead to reply I do. If they don't agree with what I said, fine by me. If someone comes along and says something nasty about it, just gotta let it go. Life is to short to worry so much about such pettiness.

I can't say that anyone (since 2005 when I joined) has ever said anything to me (posted) that was so offensive that I would run tell a moderator or lose any sleep over it, etc. The moderators do have a job to do but it isn't in making sure that whomever I might be upset with or didn't agree with me gets in trouble for it.

Sure people are going to say mean things - some people just like to be that way (I'm not referring to anyone in particular as I have not read this entire thread and don't usually post on one's were it seems to be really tense - stepping out of the box today) and you just have to move on.....

I for one love the DIS!!!!! Don't have any particular cliques that I belong too and don't really know anyone beyond what is posted on these boards. I know if I have a question or need some info the best place to post it is on the DIS CB as someone here will know the answer. What other place (on the internet) can you go to to laugh, cry, (both seperately and at the same time) share, learn and post random sillinesses (myself) like outhouse use, graveyard workings & poke salet?
