I'm happy to be going to SSR (our home resort) in October with DH & DS & DDIL. But we'd like to stay at BWV for a few of the nights. I wasn't able to switch at the 7 month mark since my Mom was being moved from the hospital to rehab. She was my focus for such a long time. I've got 2 different waitlists at BWV - one for the front end of our trip and one for the back end. When I call, I check on BLT also. (our arrival day is part of the Columbus Day holiday, which means nothing in California; apparantly it's a school holiday in parts of the East?)

Don't mind me, I'm just whining.
 
Don't fret too much. It's true that nothing may happen but I've had a couple of days for BCV come thru for early Oct. It can happen! :thumbsup2
 
October is still a ways off, so don't give up hope. I think your strategy of calling often is a good one. You never know what might happen between now and then. Good luck!
 
Yes Columbus Day is long weekend holiday for most schools & colleges here in north east. Sending lots of pixie dust your way pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:
we've had success on our last trip when waitlisted for BWV for July 4 week.

I'm on the waitlist also, but I am not too hopeful. I had made an original reservation at OKW and the CM screwed up so they ended up putting me on the VIP waitlist for the whole week (10/10-15) for BCV. I can see if I had waitlisted a day, but the whole week, I'm not too optimistic. We have never stayed at SSR so I'm ok with it if we don't get BCV.

I don't understand what happened? Were you going to OKW, SSR or trying to get into BCV? Confused:confused3 and what did the CM do? Did you miss a BCV reservation because of a screw up? Oh that would be frustrating. What is a VIP waitlist? Never heard of that.

SSR is nice! Will they have the new pool open by then?
 
Will calling often to check on your waitlist make a difference? We are waitlisted for a boardwalk view at BWV. We have a garden view reserved now. If it helps, I'll call every day!!!:lmao:

The CM messed up our reservation. I had called and made our reservation for OKW at the 7 month window and waitlisted BCV. The CM never booked us in the HH category which is what I needed for reasons I don't want to get into because that's an even longer story. Let's just go with medical reasons. Anyway, by the time I noticed the error I called back and they didn't have anything available in the HH category or all of OKW for the whole week. So I had to go with SSR. When I had called back the CM supervisor told me that there was absolutely nothing that she could do for us except put us on the waitlist for what we wanted even though it was their mistake. I left it alone until of course I got to thinking about it and stewing so I decided to write a letter to Member Satisfaction just voicing what happened and hoping that it didn't happen again. I never asked for anyone to contact me nor did I ask for anything "special" because of their mistake. A couple of days later I spoke with Kelly (I think) and told her what had happened and that I just wanted to make sure that it didn't happen again to me nor to anyone else. I told her that we were very happy to be staying at SSR and even happier that in this economy that we were able to go to Disney. She thanked me for letting them know about what happened and told me that she would put me on their VIP waitlist for the mistake (which essentially puts me ontop of the list ) at whichever resort I would like. I told her BCV since it was where my kids really wanted to stay. Even though she was nice enough to do this, I don't think it will come through and it's ok with us either way. We have never stayed at SSR so it will be an experience!
