Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not the signature restaurants are easier to get into last minute than the 1 TS restaurants (which aren't at all easy to get into without an ADR, in my experience)?

I'm thinking if we have to cancel one of our 1 TS ADRs because of timing not working for us, maybe I should try to rebook last minute at a signature restaurant with better success?

Thanks!

I just tried for 2 weeks to get a ressie at a signature restaurant. They fill up also especially with the Dining Plan. I finally got an ADR but it was close.

I wouldn't even try it. Even with an ADR, I've had some pretty sizeable waits on my few signature tries.

You'd be better off trying a reservation at a less popular spot, if you can.

What are the plans, if you don't mind me asking?

It depends on which one, time of year, and if you're flexible with times. We've gotten into Flying Fish, Yachtsmen, Brown Derby the day before or the day of. If you know you want to go there then call and get an ADR or if you're staying at a wdw hotel then go to conceirge to do it.

Other than Californai Grill due to the fireworks view, our experience is signature restaurants are easier to get into by far than the 1TS restaurants.

We have a TON of adrs scheduled, but I am not sure if the people I'm traveling with will feel like going to some of them. I just made them based on what appeals to me and what my 4 year old would probably like. But I"m going with my mom and dh, so who knows if we will make a certain dinner time or even want lunch. I'll definitely cancel once we know for sure, but then we'll probably want something else a bit later. For example, last year we missed a Boma reservation (cancelled it) but they were so booked we couldn't make a later one. Luckily we did get to walk into Cape May, but only because the cm at the podium had mercy on us.
