Looking at satellite view of the map around the Epcot resorts, it looks like there is a sidewalk that goes from BWV all the way around to the back on BCV. What I can't see is if there is a way to get from that sidewalk to the actual resort grounds at BCV to make a loop for runners/walkers. Anyone there now that can check?

I am a BWV owner, and a runner who uses that sidewalk for my morning jog every time we stay there. You can access BCV from that sidewalk. The sidewalk takes you to a dumpster/service area on the east side of BCV, and you can follow a path around this side of the resort to get back to Crescent Lake, if that is what you are wanting to do. I prefer running on the outer loop, instead of around Crescent Lake, since it is not crowded. I rarely see anyone else using the sidewalk when I run.

How far is that outer loop? Staying at BCV in November and love morning runs!!!

The official course is .8 miles and travels around Crescent Lake. This is the most central course to the area and can be reached easily from all of the resorts. This route in particular gives the runner a chance to sample the varying “flavor” of each resort as you pass by them. The running surface is a combination of concrete walkway and wooden boardwalk. Be cautious when the boardwalk is wet, as it can be very slippery.

The lobby concierge at BC was very helpful to DH, mapping out an approximately 3 mile run for him. He went out the resort by the guard shack, turned right and ran under the bridge, past Boardwalk to the end of the road, then right (can't remember that road), then right again past Swan/Dolphin, then back in to BCV past guard shack again. Frankly, I thought they discouraged runners from going that way, but apparently not. Every morning the security guard waved at him as he left, then returned.

Going from BVC to Hollywood Studios, back the the boardwalk and finishing the loop around Crescent Lake is a great run with little people traffic early in the morning (other than other runners). Cant remember the distance on that but I usually add on another loop around Crescent Lake and is easily over 3 miles.

I start at the sidewalk behind the Luna pool area, run along the canal, and then take the outer loop past the Swan/Dolphin all the way around past the Beach Club. I turn around where the loop goes underneath the canal to Epcot, because there isn’t a whole lot of sidewalk through the tunnel. I follow the same route back to Luna pool - it’s almost exactly 4 miles.

When we were there in February they had construction In the area of the road between the Beach Club and BWV and you couldn’t complete the loop unless you ran on the street. We decided it wasn’t safe, hopefully they have finished

That would not be great, since the street traffic on Epcot Resorts Blvd. is usually pretty heavy, including buses. Even when there is no construction to block the narrow sidewalk, I avoid that section by going through the BCV grounds to the Crescent Lake path to get back to the BW.

I think the loop is open. It was partially closed I think in July for the NBA. My husband did the run, so I am not completely sure. He accidentally even circumvented the NBA fencing, because no one was there to stop him and there was a gap. With the NBA gone, now I think it should be completely open. I could be misunderstanding the exact area to which you are referring though.

I don't think you can run under the water bridge that the Friendship boats take to Epcot from the BC to the BW. I don't remember any sidewalk there. And if you run in the road, you take your life in your hands. The best you can do is divert to the BC and take the bridge over the boat runs to the BW and then divert back to your outer loop.
