Sides at Le Cellier?

Can you order a side in addition to your meal at LeCellier? For example, butternut squash ravioli and a side of cream cheese mashed potatoes?

From what I remember you can but there is a charge. Like ordering a side of fries at a restaurant.

We just got back and ordered sides. We were on the dining plan, so we got 2 separate checks (to pay for the sides).

Yes. They will do whatever is asked, within reason. Your request is perfectly fine. These are the sides listed on their menu:

We ordered the spinich and it was huge for just 2 people. It came in a pan approx. the same size as a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza.

IT WAS THE BEST THING ON THE MENU!!!

I think the Le Cellier side dishes are just about the best deal you can get at WDW!

But no more cream cheese mashed potatoes at lunch! At least when we were there over Thanksgiving. We were so disappointed that we almost cancelled our 2nd reservation later in the trip! They've switched to mashed sweet potatoes. Yuck!

We were there over Thanksgiving week and were served creamed cheese mashed potatoes with my bbq filet. They were the best mashed potatoes I have ever eaten in a restaurant-- yummy!!

Yeah I got caught by that too. On my past trip in September, I had a very hard to get ADR at Le Cellier, they told me the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes were not on the lunch menu so I ended up having fries with my filet mignon which did not make me happy but in 2008 i'm booking a dinner there & I will have my delicious potatoes finally. I can't wait!

I'm glad to see someone else confirm the lack of the cream cheese mashed potatoes at lunch! I had the yukon gold roasted potatoes (or something like that), and they were OK - probably better than french fries at least, but nothing like the mashed potatoes! We prefer lunch since we don't do the dining plan, and lunch just fits better with our schedule, but we might just have to switch to dinner if they don't bring back the mashed potatoes at lunch. Gee, hard to believe they'd do something to increase the dinner demand - like it wasn't already great enough!

Does anyone know if you can do a substitution? For example, switch the mashed potatoes for the creamed spinach? Or do you have to take the meal as-is? Thanks.

I don't see why you couldn't do the substitution.

Side note that the potatoes are very easy to make. In fact I'm having some for lunch today!
