Side items on DDP?

On the DDP, do you only get a side item if it is listed with the entree for lunch? Say at Columbia Harbour House, the fried fish says it comes with fries or apples but the tuna sandwich doesn't say anything about a side. Would we have to pay for fries if someone wanted the tuna sandwich?

all the CS meals are "value" meals - sandwich, side, drink. Now the side might be chips or cole slaw instead of fries for any particular meal, for example, the ribs meals in AK tend to come with baked beans, but there will be a side of some kind and you can often "switch" sides for something else as long as its available at that location.

If the entree genuinely does not come with a side, then the side is not covered by DDP.

On the dining plan you get what is listed in the description of the item on the menu. Not all CS meals come with a side.

Looking at the Columbia Harbor House menu on allears you would get only the tuna salad sandwich if you choose that. You would have to pay OOP for the fries because it is not listed as a side for the sandwich. The same applies to the huumuus and salad entrees on the CHH menu.

For the fried fish you choose either fries or apple slices. At most places you could also substitute a side that is listed on another entree. At CHH the fried shrimp platter offers cole slaw as well so you could probably choose that instead of fries or apple slices with the fish.
