Side By Side Jogging Strollers and WDW Buses

I know that a similar question has been asked before, but I couldn't really find an answer that fit my exact question so here it is:

Just how bad will it be taking our Baby Jogger Summit X3 Double Stroller on the Disney Bus System? It folds up easily, but is still fairly large and heavy. We're not really in a situation where we can spend extra money on the rental or purchase of a different stroller type, and our kids will be 3 & 1 when we go later this year so we will definitely need one.

What is the best advice for us if this is 100% the way we are going? Are we going to have people ready to beat the crap out of us for lugging it on the buses? We are staying at CBR so I know the buses might get crowded, and they are our only transportation option since we won't be renting a car either. Any Tips, Tricks, etc. would be super appreciated.

I'm not familiar with that particular stroller, but we took our Baby Jogger City Mini Double (another side-by-side double) last fall, with a 2 year old & 6 month old, and had no problems getting it on & off. We collapsed when waiting in line, before loading, and then one parent carried the stroller while the other parent got the kids situated. My husband usually held the stroller on the bus, and found that standing and keeping it between his legs kept it from moving around too much.

On crowded buses, we had a few instances where there weren't enough seats for the kids, but that happens regardless of stroller. I will gladly give up my seat for any little kid to sit though!

We have a sit-n-stand and we do exactly as FrozenDuck. I will take the stroller and the bag(s) and I head straight to the back door to stand, while my DW will handle our DDs. I own give the "stink eye" to the parents that have a stroller(not a little one) and decide to sit in the front seats of the bus and everyone has to get past them. Also, most of the time at the end of the day, if we see that the bus will be standing room only, we will just step to the side and be the first in line for the next bus, so that DW and DDs have a seat.

We took a city elite double (about the same size as the summit but with four wheels). We adhere to the backpack rule- if it doesn't fit in the backpack it doesn't go. Then while waiting on line to get in a bus we spend the time putting anything we may have taken out back in the backpack. Then when the bus arrives kid hop out and when we get to the front stroller is folded. If you take some time to prepare it makes everything quick and easy

We had a triple stroller last trip (a double with a third detachable seat that perched on top), so we were basically taking two strollers on the buses. We had 4 adults to 3 kids, and my DH and FIL would handle the stroller parts while MIL and I wrangled the kids and stuff. It worked just fine. This situation was the main reason we stayed at CR, though, we only had to take buses our two MK days.

This upcoming trip we are renting the stroller you own and will have to take buses 5 days. I am not worried about it since I know to follow the tips PPs described.

We took our Bumbleride Indie Twin on our trip and didn't have any issues. Our strategy was similar to others. I would hold our twins and sit with them on the bus while my husband took the diaper bag backpack and held the folded stroller on the bus. The ideal location for holding a bulky stroller after everyone loads the bus is near the back ramp. That was a popular "Stroller Dad" hangout!
