sorry havent been around much been sick and then on new meds made me drozzy bad so had to go off and back on old meds, i miss hanging out here and hope to be back normaly in the next week.

Silly Little Pixie - I must ask about this "Disney Institute - the Treehouses from 1998" - oddly I remember hearing something about that long, long ago but may also have mommy-brain in my way. What was that?

Disney Institute was where you could take classes, etc at WDW. They had a big old building and stuff. Anyway, they had the Treehouse Villas there as well. They were like big giant treehouses! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and laundry, all free standing single family units. Currently, the Treehouses are not rented out, I hear WDW uses them for CM housing and storage etc. Recent reports state that they are going to be torn down and rebuilt so as to be more environmentally friendly as it is now a flood zone! There's a thread I saw on that on the WDW boards. I'd post a photo if I knew how!

The Treehouses were so awesome for a family staying together. We were disappointed to discover they were no longer available when we returned in 2003. Hopefully they'll have them available for a future WDW trip for us... this year, it's going to be Port Orleans Riverside instead.
