sick-staying another day

We're here and we were supposed to leave today, but we all have some kind of stomach problem. Either the flu or food poisoning.
So, we called and for 200.00 we switched our flight and we got lucky and our room is available one more day. We'll be missing out on another day in July, but we just wouldn't have been able to fly today.
Ugh, not the last day at Disney I would have hoped for, but I'd rather be sick here than at home!

Sounds like the stomach flu. It is common around this time of year on through March. My youngest daughter had it when we went in December of 06. She was down for 1 day but that is the only trip where we had to deal with it. There is nothing worse than the dreaded stomach bug sweeping the family on your WDW vacation. I hope you all feel better soon. Thank goodness your room was still available.

I believe my youngest (now 1) who was about 3 months at the time received a vaccine for the rotavirus. It can be very dangerous in infants.

OP--I hope you all feel better soon. On the bright side, at least it was at the end of your vacation. I know my stomach is never right for at least a week or so. Safe (and healthy) trip home!
