sick of being sick!!

hi all,
well it's 4:20 am i just got up cause i have to start my way to the FDNY academy for my advance training classes.i awoke and knew that i had a fever,i could feel it.i have 102 and a very sore thoat.I wonder why is it i get sick when i possible can't take anytime off of work?at this class you can't miss more than 1 day or 2 sessions and i left early last week to take ds to the dr who had the same thing.of course he is fine now and i feel like dog poop.i have a 2 hour drive and 8 hrs of classes,you have to be at the FDNY class at 7 am sharp.i just want to go back to sllep and rest,but i have no choice.lots of tylenol and water for me today!!!

hope you start feeling better! i feel for you-i never seemed to get sick when i had some training i could blow off and reschedual, it was always something mandatory that did'nt afford a make-up session.

i think i was sick most of the 3 months i had daily intensive training for my last job (i think everyone was-there was a strong scent of cough drops in the air, everyone had a box of kleenex next to them...).

Oh that is the Pits, when you have to go to work and your sick! When you get home tonight, how about a nice hot bath, warm PJ's (yeah I know your a man) some chicken soup, blanket and warm bed with TV. Anywho, I hope you feel better soon!

Sounds like you might have strep. How about a quick trip to the Urgent Care center for a throat culture? They can give you a shot of anitbiotics and you'll feel better sooooo quick!
