sick and to close to our vacation

We are leaving Saturday for WDW. Today my ds(8) came down with a bad virus. My one kid that NEVER gets sick is sick a few days before we leave . He cant hold anything down I feel so bad for him. I sure hope this is just a 24hour bug. I was just wondering if there is a home remedie or anything I can do to help my other 2dc ages(1)and(3) not catch my sons virus. I really do not want us all to be sick on our vacation

No home remedies, just wash hands!!! Maybe just keep the sick one sort of confined to one area. If you have multiple bathrooms maybe have the sick one use just one.

I don't have any strategies on keeping the others healthy, other than keep up with the Lysol...

but...

I do have a home remedy for the kiddo that's having the upset tummy. Give him some semi-burnt toast, if he can stand it. The theory is that the "charcoal" on the burnt toast acts as an absorber, kind of like the activated charcoal we buy at the drugstore to keep in our poison control cabinet. Also, if he can handle it, lots of water to help flush out the virus.

Poor guy, I hope he's feeling MUCH better today!

I think this idea is great!!!! Plus everytime your sick one uses the bathroom, hit it with lysol!! And wash wash wash your hands! Good Luck!!!

I never heard of the burnt toast remedy. Makes sense to me. Thanks for posting!

Hope everything works out. He's got plenty of time to get better.
