Sick...and going to work in a Dr office??

My dh works at a hospital and he they have a pretty stinky attendance policy. It is very difficult for the employees to do anything besides work sick because they aren't allotted very much sick time and if they do call in sick it causes a big headache for everyone else because when someone calls in sick the others have to pick up the slack, replacements aren't called in. My dh has caught some serious illnesses from patients though. He didn't actually get TB but he did test positive to it after having a patient sick with TB unexpectedly cough in his face. Because they patient was still in the hospital they were able to do some tests and determine that he had caught it from that patient. He was in the hospital for a couple of weeks and had to take medication for a year over that one.
