Ok, I know this sounds odd, but what is the sicilian word or phrase for a lamb's head as a meal. You know, when they eat the whole head, eyes and all?

Grossissimo? ;) No clue.

bump.

I've heard from Sicilians that the eye is a particular delicacy. :scared1:
Sorry, can't help with the phrase though.

My DH is Sicilian and wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole nevermind eat it!!! He doesn't speak Italian. Sorry I can't help you.

Sorry, don't know the Italian name, but I know the French have something similiar called "tete de veau" which is a calf's head.

I think it is called "Capuzzella d'agnello" though I may have that spelling off by a bit.

My dad used to eat that and especially the eye. Ewwwwwwww

OMG, I remember my grandmother cooking these things and me looking in the oven watching them stare back at me.:scared1: :scared1:

I must have been 7 or 8 at the time and all these years later I still remember...

Google is your friend:
Italian "lamb's head"

It's not just the Italians or Sicilians. My great uncles were Croation and they did this quite often as well. They both had one at a family reunion I attended once. I had to leave their table because it was freaking me out!!
