Shuttles from Silver Lake

We are hoping to have a 2 bdrm at either OLCC or Silver Lake in March, OLCC would be our first choice, but I am thinking about SL because it offers a complimentary shuttle to SW/US, where we will be spending most of our time. We will have a rental car but thought it might be more convenient and less expensive to use the shuttle. Anybody use the shuttle from SL? Also, I see good revues for Cyprus Grande Villas, do they ever come up on SkyAuction?

I haven't stayed at Silver Lake - but I would get the shuttle schedule before you decided - just in case you want to see a night show and find that the shuttle leaves before the night show ends (or even starts)

Cypress point resort at LBV or Cypress Point Resort Grandevilla - both are RCI resorts - so yes - I should show up sometimes in the skyauction.

Hello...the shuttles from the hotels and the resorts outside Disney are notoriously inconsistant and slow...If this is a very special week for you, I would strongly recommend against the shuttle and encorage you to drive. SLake is so very easy to find and get to Disney via Sherberth Road. When you exit SLake turn left and then turn left again when you get to Sherberth intersection. (If you turn right on Sherberth you will be on the busy highway 192)..So stay off 192 to get to Disney and go left on Sherberth for about a mile. The road will turn a few times at the end. (FYI..while on the straight stretch of Sherberth look right down the highway and then up a little...that big darker green tree is the Tree of Life in AK!)...when you take the last little turn on Sherberth you will come to a stop light...to your left is Akingdom Lodge...to your right is the neatest little entrance to Disney World that goes right by Animal Kingdom. To go to the Animal Kingdom take the first left into the parking lot area...to get to the rest of Disney go straight and follow the signs.
To EXIT Disney follow the signs to Animal Kingdom from inside the parks and then STAY LEFT as you approach the AKparking lot and follow the sign to AK Lodge. You will be back at same stop light....Turn LEFT and follow Sherberth back to Black Lake Road which is where Silver Lake is located......Simple, easy, no waiting for shuttles and you the freedom to go back to SLake for a swim or nap during the day....The whole trip to Disney from SLake is 3-4 minutes this way.......enjoy....Ted
