Shuttles from offsite (Kissimmee) resorts?!

Has anyone had experience with offsite hotel shuttles? I am 18 and staying with my friend who is also 18 without a car at the Radisson on the Parkway. How much trouble will it be to get to and from the parks? Will we have to come back to the hotel early. I've never stayed offsite before, but this is the first time without my parents, so I had to knock off a few bucks. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch

There are different shuttles for different hotels so you'll have to check the specifics for where you're staying regarding schedules. But in general, the last bus returning from the parks is usually much earlier than actual park closing.

Another down side will be if you decide to return to your hotel midday. You may have to wait quite a while for the bus to show up to take you back. Same is true for the return to the parks.

Many people (myself included) hate to be slaves to time when at WDW. But if it's your only option, it can be done. It just is not done as smoothly as using WDW transportation.
