Shuttle viewing

Does anyone know a good viewing site for the shuttle launch.Can it be seen from coco beach or do i need to be closer.

Depends what you mean by viewing! It can be seen from Disney itself if you don't mind seeing a fast moving white line with a large orange dot at the top. Obviously the nearer you get to KSC the better the view but if you don't mind then I can highly reccomend the open plaza by the Fountain of Nations in EPCOT!

Cocoa Beach (the beach itself) is an excellent location for viewing any launches from KSC.

Any closer, like Titusville, and the crowds are bad.

Just remember, anywhere near the coast will be crowded and the drive back to Orlando will take twice as long as normal.

Of course, since I live south of KSC, I usually just watch from my front stoop

There were large crowds at Titusville but that added to the atmosphere, I would go there everytime there is a launch, we had a great time.

Titusville is the closest free place; depending on what launch you are looking to go to, Dec. 6/STS-122 tickets to get closer are sold out for the causeway but still available for the visitors complex.
