Shuttle to Kennedy space center

Didnt really know where to put this--so if it is in the wrong spot--sorry!!
I was wondering if anyone knew of a shuttle service that wouldnt cost an arm and a leg that would take me and my 7 yr old son to/from CBR to the Kennedy space center for a day....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I suspect you might be best off renting a car on-site (Alamo / National at the Disney Car Care Center) for a day to do it. In terms of price and convenience, it might be your best option. The towncar option might work, and you should check out the prices (FL Tours sponsors this board, so start with them), but I bet they're more.

The Space Center is really cool, and well worth doing if you can swing the time and the transportation. Remember also that admission there is also pretty steep, almost as much as a 1 day ticket at WDW (maybe 60%). But it is just so cool. My 5 yr old DD commented "wow, space is cool Mommy". Yep, get 'em into science early!

A taxi or towncar will cost an arm and a leg.

The Mears Shuttle will run on certain days of the week. The price is $21/rt.

The other option is to rent a car for the day.

Is the Mears shuttle large enough/have capacity to hold luggage? We'd like to spend a couple days in Cocoa Beach area. . . or is Mears only for one-day trips to the Space Center?

I checked Mears' website but couldn't find a listing of which days they provide this service.

Depending on the amount of people, it could be a van, or it could be a motor coach. However, it's really only for one day trips to the Space Center... they wouldn't be able to stop at a hotel. Mears reservations can be reached at 407-423-5566

OK--I just got off the phone with Mears reservations..It is $21 per person and they go on Monday Wednesday and Fridays...I was tickled to death!!!
That is a great price and I was wanting to go on Monday--couldnt have worked out better!!!!

You still have to purchase your tickets to the space center! And, they have extra tours you can take for a low price and it's worth it!!! You have to go all out!

I can remember going when I was a little girl---havent been since then--and I know everything will be different. Want my son to have some of the same great memories I have...I can remember riding a double decker bus on some kind of tour...I was looking at their web site and seems they still have that tour available. Our trip is over a year away...but I am a constant planner--I believe if you plan it--you have a wonderful trip---not just walk in without a clue--you miss too many wonderful things that way!!! Cant Wait!!!

I know this is an old thread, but it had some of the answers I was looking for.
But I have a few more questions:

With this Mears Shuttle, can it pick us up at our resort, or where do we get on it? Same with return...
And does it only return at a certain time, or can we come back earlier if we want?

Is it $21 each return? So for four of us $84??

Do we have to book it in advance, or does is just show up?

Anything else I should know?

Any other ways to get from our resort to Kennedy Space Center cheaply and quickly?
