Were staying at the all stars (movie) resort. How often are the shuttles from the hotel to the parks? Is there a long line to get on them generally or a long wait? We'll have a rental car but does it make more sense to use the shuttles vs. driving to another park with the car (if that's even possible, not sure how their parking lot (s) are set up).

Thanks!

To Transportation Board I think the experts can give you some solid information to your question. :goodvibes

Sorry for posting in the place. We leave this morning so I won't have enough time...guess I'll just find out when we get there.

There is plenty of bus service from all the Disney resorts to all the parks. In fact, if you drive to the Magic Kingdom you will have to park at the TTC, probably take the tram over to the monorail or boat. It would take a LOT longer than a Disney bus to the MK. All the buses have flexible routes so if there is a crowd someplace they can get over there fast. Don't worry about the Disney transportation. All the Disney buses will drop you off closer to the main entrances than you can do by driving, especially at the MK.

You won't need to use your car at all. The shuttles from the ASmo are regular and open. The only time the lines get long would be early in the am when families want to get to certain parks. Our family is never one to get going too early, so when we get ready to depart, there's never a problem. Longest we've ever waited over the years has been 15 minutes. We've waited MUCH longer for a bus from the Poly, if you can believe that.....The bus will drop you off close to each park entrance so don't bother to use your own vehicle. It's worth it just to sit back and let the bus driver weave in and out of the heavy traffic. I wouldn't attempt to drive our personal vehicle around the Parks--especially late at night when tempers are short and drivers forget how to get back to their resort.
Have a wonderful trip. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
