Shuttle or private car from LAX to Tropicana?

We are getting down to the wire!! We leave from our house tomorrow night between 7:30-8p to catch our red eye flight that leaves at 11:15p. We actually get to LAX on Saturday @ 5:30a! We normally always fly into SNA, so this is different, but looking forward to a change of pace. The one thing I haven't figured out is transportation. We are not renting a car, we never do since we typically stay across the street, and are staying @ the Tropicana for 4 nights, then onsite for our last 2, and we are not leaving property, and if we do, we can Uber it!

That being said, we will need transportation. It's just for 2 adults, no kids. I also have a question about whether we should get Von's delivery (my inclination is not to) but I do have a CPAP which requires distilled water for the humidifier and like to drink water, also snacks? So I wonder if we should make a stop from the airport on our way to the hotel (is there a big upcharge for this?) and I realize that is only if we rented a private towncar of sorts. Is it that big of a leap in price to do that rather than a shared shuttle van? I would love all your experiences with this type of thing. We will be flying back out of LAX as well.

I'm open to ideas for shared vans, private transportation, UBER/Lyft type rides, etc. I just want to get it booked today to get one more thing checked off the list.

Thanks!!

We used to do super shuttle they were the cheapest but after the driver slammed the door on my toe and they never did anything I even lost my nail. We now use Lyft it runs about $50.00 each way just so convenient.
We have also done Von delivery worked out great.

For that mission...I would be taking Uber to the Hotel from LAX, check in and get settled in then uber to the store, take my time shopping so I am not rushed then just uber back to the hotel when done.

I have not used them but Lansky is a Forum favorite if you wanna do a hired car service and they will do a grocery stop on the way to DL if needed.

I personally despise Supper Shuttle. I always get crammed in with way too many other people and end up being the last stop and have the trip take twice as long as it should. Never worth the minimal savings to me.

OMG sorry that happened to you! We used to use them from SNA to our hotel and had no issue, but it's been a few years, and the ride is a lot shorter than from LAX. Will consider Lyft & Vons, thanks!

I am seriously considering Uber or Lyft. I just looked at the rates that Lansky shows, $120 one way, wow! I think one of the others mentioned here is more reasonable.

Do Uber and Lyft pick up as early as 630a? They must! I'm basing this on us getting our luggage, it may be closer to 7a, I have no idea how baggage retrieval is at LAX, I know at SNA it's a piece of cake!

Uber to LAX is like $50-60.

They are all over SoCal 24/7. 7am will be no problem. I have gotten Uber at 4:45am in both the LA and Disneyland area and was surprised to see how many cars were out at that hour.

Thanks Parkhopper1! That sounds great. We will both have large bags, hopefully no tiny Toyota will show up!

We always use Disneyland Resort express- it’s so easy and we’ve never had any issues with them it’s $48 round trip from lax but code AOC gets you a discount online. We always do vons delivery for sodas, snacks, etc and we never regret it!

The rate is awesome, I'm just a little DL express shy because once we used them from SNA, they were late, it was chaotic, kids screaming and crying, and I guess since there is just the two of us, I was a little apprehensive. But that is an awesome price! Where do they all stop? Also, do they have a potty on board? That may just be the clincher! lol!! Where do you catch them if we will be in Terminal 6? Also, since they are a large bus, where do they drop off if we are staying right off Harbor? Thanks so much for your POV!
