When one is staying at WDW, how do they get to Universal? Is there a shuttle from WDW to Universal?

Yes there is a mears shuttle, if your staying at a disney resort there is a red phone in the lobby you can use to call and make a ressie, they ask that you give them 24 hour notice? I believe it's 12 dollars round trip per person maybe someone else knows for sure? Make arrangements for pick up with the driver when he comes.

last year it was $14 for rt per person.

they have two times in the morning and evening you can choose from for pick up times.

it's not a bad deal at all if it is just one or two people.

once you have three you might want to consider a cab
or town service.

town service can range between $35 to 40 depending on the company you want per way.

Does anyone know how much a cab would be? Would it cost less than a town car? There are 3 of us and I just can't remember how much we paid in 2000. $25 comes to mind but I could be wrong. :butterfly

thank you every one for the information. I appreciate it!. Any idea what the morning and evening pick up times are?

Depends on your resort, I think. Phone up the place you're staying at and whatever shuttle company they have a contract with(Mears usually) and ask them. You can also check the websites.

agnes!

last year the drop off times at universal was a choice of 8-8:30-9:30

pick up times was close to the park closing times.

it seems like more people at disney are using the mears shuttle so you should check with them directly to see the drop off times.

i don't remember the pick up times from your resort, just the target drop off times.

i have used it when relocating from disney resorts to universal hrh.
you are let out in the bus area right before city walk.

i took the cab once and it was $25.

one tip on using a cab.

go when it is not rush hour time. time in the cab will cost you.
i ususally leave disney at 7:05 with the cab and beat any traffic.

if you leave the resort around 8:15-30, you will be sitting in traffic and that will add to your bill.

just to add, you have to give mears a 24 hour notice if you want their service for the disney/universal run.

don't wait until the last minute as the little bus could be full.

you will be picked up at your resort

How long does it take to get to USF during non rush hour traffic?

i think it was only about 17 minute drive for me.
this is with a heavy foot and no traffic.

i guess it depends where from disney you start out from though
