Has anyone used the shuttle from Orlando/Sanford they offer when booking flights through Allegiant? I decided to try that this time; they're called Escot. I tried posting on the Transportation Board, but didn't get any responses.
Thanks!

I seen that shuttle option but instead started looking for private shuttle companies with vans to fit our group of 14. I can't find many reviews on businesses though.

I was tempted to choose that option for our flight, but I couldn't find any reviews either. With it already being about an hour drive from Sanford to WDW, and not knowing how many hotels they'd be stopping at, I was afraid it would be too long on a bus for our little ones' patience.

Would love to hear any other thoughts on this one. Our very local airport runs amazing price specials into Sanford but having to rent a car, really cuts into those savings.

we have rented a car when flying into Sanford and it has worked well, actually cheaper than taking the shuttle. I went through thrifty both times with good results.

There are a couple car services but with the low cost I find renting I much rather have a car. Disney provides ME, but really I enjoy the trip more when we are not stuck at the resort. Not only that a few off site stops for stops at food, Walgreens and emergencies it's pays for its self. I don't like the busses to parks, much rather come and go in my car. So far from SFB foe 8 days I have a $179 rental. Sometimes I gent a mini van for not much more or a midsize for $139.

I too am curious about Sanford to WDW. I have a 14 month old that I will be traveling with alone. (My husband works out of town a lot)
I live in the Hagerstown MD area, Allegiant flies out of there at very reasonable rates. Traveling to BWI for flights to MCO is a little frustrating with the traffic & I have to PAY to leave my car there.
Where at Hagerstown it's FREE!!!

With an 18 month old, flying with your car seat, I would choose Uber X. That would be the least expensive. MCO has a contract with taxis so no Uber allowed. But, with the codes on internet it will be a fraction the cost. I drive for Uber, but not in Orlando. There are 4 clearances we have to go through and maintain a 4.5 star rating. The car has to be cleaned and newer models. Often Prius are driven. I have a Camry. No tip is required either. This would be the least expensive next to renting.

Very easy, on time, waiting for us and even knew there had been a luggage delay. Our driver, Richard, was very friendly and helpful and a great driver. Much easier than rental. For me the car just sits for a week, I'll use this route with Allegiant every time

When I have flown into Sanford, I have rented a car for about $20 and then drove down to MCO, returned the car, and hopped on magical express to my resort.

Is it a fairly easy to navigate drive to MCO? About how long does it take?

Yes, I've done it a couple times but it's been a few years. From what I remember, it was pretty easy - pretty much s straight shot. I think it took about 40 minutes.
