Hi all -

I'm three weeks away from my long-awaited trip to Disneyland and have a quick(actually 3 quick) questions.

Normally, I rent a car when visiting Disneyland, but this year I have decided to just take a shuttle from the airport. There will be three of us (2 adults and 1 12 year old).

Do I need to book shuttle reservations ahead of time? Where do I catch the shuttle at the aiport and what is the approximate cost per person?

Thanks for helping me nail down my last minute questions!

Tyr23,

No, you don't have to book the shuttle ahead of time, unless perhaps you are coming in at a very odd time. There are always plenty of shuttles waiting outside of baggage claim, and they are generally first come first serve, even if you have a reservation. I've often made reservations (put with no commitments; I don't prepay). I have never found that the reservations were really necessary.

BUT, you might want to consider a taxi. The shuttle runs around $11 per person each way, and cabs are around $35 (neither includes tip). With a cab, you don't have to additional stops. You can ask when you get there exactly how much they'll charge you.

Great information! I had wondered if a cab would be close to the same price as a shuttle with three people.

Thanks!
