We are now considering flying down for our December trip and I was wondering about shuttle service from MCO to WDW. Does Tiffany Towncar have the space to put a collapsed wheel chair with luggage in their trunk.. Has anyone used anybody else and gotten great service to those with special needs? Thanks!!!!

We have rented a van every time we have gone with DD's wheelchair, so I don't have experience with this. To start you off (since it's early and no one has responded yet, some DIS readers have reported they used Mears wheelchair accessible van and were very pleased with service.
How many and how big of suitcases will you have?
How big is the wheelchair you will be transporting and how tight does it fold down? Does it have pop off wheels? What about the seating, is it just a sling seat or a special seating system? Knowing those things might help someone else figure out if it could fit in the trunk.
Good luck.

It is a Quickie 2, the seat, which is hinged and will flatten out, comes off and the frame will fold flat. The wheels will come off, and we have been able to get it into our own Oldsmobile Alero's trunk. We anticipate taking down 2 full size suitcases and 2 carry on size. Thanks

After the attitude I recieved from Tiffany Towncar I would not even consider using them. Their attitude was lousy.

My DD's manual chair is a Quickie 2, so I have a picture in my mind now. I don't think you will have a problem getting it and the number of suitcases you are talking about into a towncar trunk. We have gotten DD's wheelchair (all taken apart) into a regular car trunk, but would not have had room for any suitcases. From what I have read, those towncar trunks are pretty large though. If you do go that route, I would take a bag to put the wheelchair tires in, so you don't have to worry about grease from tha axels.
We haven't used any of the towncar companies, so I don't have any idea of "attitude". There are several towncar companies besides Tiffany. And Mears wheelchair accessible van is the same price as a regular Mears transport. I lost my listing for it, but Mears also owns a taxi company (I think there is a link on Mears website) that has wheelchair accessible vans.
I would suggest looking around the Transportation Board for some of the other limo companies, then email the ones you find with your questions (it would help if you can "translate" the size of the wheelchair into a "suitcase" size. We did that a few years ago when we were thinking of not renting a van. We found Mears was the only one that emailed us back, so I guess the others were not really interested in passengers with wheelchairs.

Mears had van with a lift and I was the only one on it (Dec. 2002.) The $25 round-trip cost was no higher than the regular bus.

I suggest what ever service you call tell them what your chair is like and ask if their car will accommodate it and your bags. We've used Tiffany several times but not with a wheelchair but with several suitcases and a large grocery stop order and had plenty of room in the trunk. How many people will be in your group? Tiffany's van is only slightly more expensive. My BIL just used them for his trip which included himself, his wife, and 6 kids ages 14 to 3 months all their luggage, a stroller and a grocery stop with room to spare!
Good luck.

We used Happy Limo (and had a limo due to the number of people in our party). My mom has a relatively small manual wheelchair. We had 6 adults and 2 children (lots of baggage plus the chair) and had no problem.

The driver was wonderful. Very patient with the time it took to get my mom in and out.

Good luck!
