Shuttle delayed again

We're baffled by that - the weather looked to be improving all the time. Can't imagine what cropped up (although it's obviously better to be safe than sorry) :(

Was lightening in the area of the Launch Pad

Confirmed that next attempt will be Wednesday - hopefully the weather will not force another scrub

If there are any weather fronts within a 10 mile area that affects NASA decision it was reported.
Sadly we have decided that we tried but will have to watch the shuttle from the TV or web.
Happy that we saw Endevour on the launch pad when we visited KSC :)

It's looking hopeful tonight everyone! Green on all weather conditions: those pesky anvil clouds have cleared :thumbsup2

Florida to Ireland in 8 minutes, wonder if Virgin want to buy then to replace their tired planes?:rotfl2:

I stayed up, couldn't goto bed and miss it.
August 18-22nd please for next one.:goodvibes

do they have formal plans for damaged shuttles now? I've not read anything about another shuttle being ready for a rescue mission this time around?

Or maybe they have procedures for replacing damaged tiles whilst up there now?

I'll second that, Wayne... It has been a lifelong dream to see a shuttle launch. I'm crossing everything, hoping for an on-schedule launch.

Although... given that it's currently scheduled for something crazy like 4.25am, if they wanted to delay the launch until, say, noon the next day, I wouldn't object! ;-)

Well we did get to see it last night, it was quite cloudly but cleared up about 10 minutes before
it was 18 minutes after take off , (wish we could fly across the Alantic that fast from Florida)
it came across the sky really really fast
it looked like two stars
the space center came across about 20 minutes later
tried to take photos but looks like a small dot
