Shuttle and car rental

We will be visiting DL in October and i need some transportation help. We are going to be a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 yr old, 1 yr old twins).

We fly into LAX then are staying at the Grand California. Instead of renting a car I was going to do the Lansky service? Is that the quickest way to get to our hotel?

After DL we will be driving up to San Luis Obispo so I'm looking at getting a rental car pickup from DL. Would a minivan be more comfortable then a full size SUV? We have a truck and SUV at home so I'm not familiar with minivans

I move groups of 5-7 with luggage all the time in rental cars...yes, a mini van will have much more usable space than a SUV. The back seat of a mini van works for car seats better then a SUV third row. Town and Country if you have the option.

A dedicated service like Lanskey's will be quickest and most convenient way to get to GCH from LAX.

Be sure to price out picking up your car from LAX at the beginning of your trip...may be just as cheap as shuttle service then getting the car and a lot more convenient.

Also if you still pick up your car from DL...price out picking it up from SNA vs a neighborhood location near DL. Airport location often are cheaper. It is a $35 flat rate cab ride from GCH to SNA (get a voucher from valet) or about a $20 Uber ride
