hello

if you purchase a package with shutters do you get to take your pics with you daily then trade back if you find better ones? or do you just leave your pics there and hope they are still there when you want them :confused3

help- i leave tomorrow for FL :wave2:

You can trade if you wish....Some people stack them up, to decide later in the cruise...I would be toooo nervous, especially if there are certain ones youknow you like, I have witnessed people losing ALL OF THEM on the last night.....

You can replace pictures, and remove some if you wish..You can also upgrade your package throughout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your cruise...It is here... :goodvibes

Also they have this slot to dispose of any you know you won't want to purchase...THis is the hardest part.. :teeth:

mommasita- you have been a lot of help!! i really appreciate it :)

3 more hours of work (notice that i am online instead of working LOL) i can barely sit still

thanks again :flower1:

:disrocks: My pleasure...I have learned so much here, and am still learning every day...This is an amazing place..

I can just imagine your excitment... :cool1: :sunny:

so they don't get lost. I was dissappointed with the photographers in our 4/16 cruise. Many of the photographs had either my dd or ds blinked, (I was told by a photographer that she can tell if the subject blinked, therefore no need for retake) or Mickey's ear covering part of my husband's face. I feel the photographers are not checking the detail before they press the shutter. Feels like they just want to finish and move on to next waiting in line. On our embarkation photo, my son said he blinked but the photographer just move us on. We did have one fabulous photographer and whenever I see him walking around, I always wait in his line. I stayed away from the woman that took our embarkation photo.

However, even with the disappointment, I still managed to spend over $300 on photos.

I'm not sure if this has changed, but we were only allowed to make a certain number of changes - 3 I believe, on the larger package.

I vote for taking the photos you really want to make sure they are not lose. Shutters was a madhouse on the last night of our cruise. I would have hated to be in that mess trying to sort everything out.

We spent a fortune on pics too. One of my DD's is a terrible picture taker, and we got some lovely shots of her. I took pictures at the same time with my camera, but none of the shots came out as well as the photographer's.

Have a great time.

We just got back from a cruise on the Wonder and purchased a photo package. They give you a card (about the size of a business card) with a check-off for the number of photos you purchased in the package. As you see pictures you like, you just take them and then check off a number on the card. You then can discard the others photos you don’t want in a bin located in Shutters.

What we ended up doing was collecting all pictures of us as they went up. Then on the last night of the cruise, we went through all of them and picked the ones we liked and then went back to Shutters and discarded the remaining ones. That way you don’t use up all your package prior to finding a real gem the last day.

You mean they let you take ALL of your pictures back to your cabin to view...and then you brought back the ones you didn't want? How did they keep track of how many you took and how many you paid for? I know you said there was a card, but was there enough room on the card for ALL of the pictures they took of you?

please i am confused??? (LOL) :)

Yes, after we purchased the package we took all of our photos back to our cabin during the trip. After we eventually chose the ones we liked (we only purchased the 10 picture package and had maybe 15 taken in total), we returned to Shutters with the card, the pictures we liked, and the ones we were to discard. The Cast Member checked to make sure we had only 10 pictures with us (she counted them twice to make sure) and that was it.

I'm not sure how (or even if they track) the ones discarded to make sure that everyone is being honest.

Can anyone tell me what the package costs and what exactly comes with it?

Thanks!

After reading these boards concerning the photos at Shutters, I went up to the counter and asked the CM for a folder to place all my photos in so I can choose the ones I want at the end of the cruise. They said they did no such thing. I asked three different CM's and they all said the same thing. So I wound up just leaving all my photos on the walls until the third night. Then I went and purchased the 10 pack for $84.95.

But they getcha: They take "special" 8 x 10 photos that are not included in the 10 pack packages and they charge $19.95 for each photo. We purchased the "Moonlit" photo and our large group photo in addition to the 10 pack.

Most photos are the ones included in the packages, but the special ones, like the ones you take with the characters on the stairs in front of Tritons or the ones where you lean on the "ship's railing" with the moon light behind you or the whole cruise ship behind you are going to be the $19.95 photos.

You can save your receipt and get package upgrades if you decide to get more than the 10 photos.
