I've read that the pictures for the day are displayed. Do you take your pictures down and stack them that day? Or do you wait until the next day to find them in the "box" and stack them together? I plan to wait until the end of my cruise to select pictures so I don't want to lose any of them until then. TIA for help :)

On the seven day they display them until the shelves get full, then about thursday they have to take some of them down and put them in plastic containers (pain in the butt to find).

My suggestion...buy a package and get what you like as you go, if you don't use all your package they will refund the difference. This way it is more convenient. Plus, if you wait till the end of the cruise, you will have a miserable time getting into shutters as everyone else has the same idea you do!

Another thing you can do is to find your pictures and stack them together (behind each other.) WHen they "thin out" the pictures to make room for more, they will usually keep your "stack" up as it is taking up only one space. Worst case, they take it down but keep all the pics together in one of the plastic bins. I agree that once they hit the bins, they are a pain to find.

You really are better off to pick the ones you want as you go. I have been on the Magic twice and both times Shutters on Friday night is unbearable. I would have been miserable to have to pick out all the pictures from the week. It is SO crowded and HOT, HOT, HOT.

I'd go for a package (I have 2 kids and got 10 package -- then upgraded to 15.) That was perfect.

They will let you swap out 3 pictures from the package. So if you get to the end of the week and find a few marvelous pictures you can swap the earlier ones out.

One other hint . . . occasionally you might have pictures made with strangers. My husband and daughter did the banana boat ride on Castaway Cay, and they had a picture made post-ride with everyone on the boat.

I saw the picture but didn't buy it. Later I decided I should get it - but it was gone. Someone else from the boat ride had bought it. Not a big deal, but if you really want these pictures, pick them up as soon as you see them.

Wow, so they don't number them for you to write down and then "order" to be delivered to the stateroom? My dad used to be a cruise photographer, then later helped run the labs with his friend, who owns the company that contracts out to lots of ships, and that's how I remembered doing it when I was younger and we'd cruise. Good to know!! You'd think that if there's more than one family in the photo, you could ask for a second copy?? That doesn't make any sense at all to me!

Is it true that the "special" prints such as the formal night pose are not part of this package and you have to pay extra?

Yes, unfortunately the 8x10 photos are not part of the package! Just know that if there is a back drop or the characters are in formal wear, that it will be an 8x10 photo. The package only includes 6x8's. I do believe, though, you can get another of the same picture if you want. They only display one to save the paper. Just ask them when you get to the register. And no, they don't number them, they are all on display and once you pay for them you take them with you.

Do they take pictures of the kids with the characters in the kids club?

does anyone have information on the package prices. i never paid attention to that on our past cruise.i would like to get an idea for the upcoming summer.thanks:)

I think the prices were:

10 for $89.99

15 for $119.99

20 for $149.99

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I know these are only for the 6x8's. The 8x10's are in no way shape or form included in any packages. Except, on the last day of the cruise if you bought 3 of the 8x10 pics they would give you the nice folder and a comp pic of the ship to display. Also, you are allowed to trade up to 3 of the package photos if you find ones you like better.
