Shutters at CBR

I don't have any pictures but wanted to share my experience at Shutters. It normally gets very mediocre if not bad reviews.

We decided on our last day to cancel our reservation at Whispering Canyon and do lunch around the World Showcase. Later that evening we were able to get an ADR at Shutters as we were hungry and wanted something quick and easy from our resort.

I had the Ribeye Steak and was pleasantly surprised. The steak wasa little on the thin side but overall it was great. The mango ketchup with the Yuca was absolutely great and I didn't go in with a positive attitude towards it! For dessert I had the vanilla cheesecake with the fried banana's. It was simply, hands down the best dessert I had all week.

So, I hadn't gone to Shutters on any of our trips to CBR because the reviews weren't so great. It was reinforced to me to take reviews into consideration but to try something before I write it off. There were 8 of us and all of us agreed it was a great choice and would do again.

Thanks for the review! Caribbean Beach holds such a special place for me. The absolute best meal I have ever had at WDW was at the former Captain's Tavern. The jerk chicken was out of this world! Caribbean-influenced food is my weakness...

Stayed at the CBR with my daughters a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised with Shutters...good value, good meal! I agree, this restaurant is underrated!

I'm glad I read this. They reviewed Shutters on the Dis Unplugged Podcast a little while back and were pleasantly surprised by the meal, as well. Since I enjoy staying a CBR, I think I will give it a try on the next trip!
