Shut out of CR in Jan. '03

Due to a conflict, I just had to push back our ressie from the first week of Jan. '03 to the third, and had to switch from CR Tower to Poly (the CM said CR is completely booked on our dates--1/20-1/23). Given we'll be there with our DDs, ages 6 and 2, I was really hoping to stay in the CR Tower, for the most fun/convenience overall w/young kids (we'll be doing MGM and MK, plus Hoop de Doo; the latter two seem much more accessible from the CR). Any thoughts on how to play it from here? Should I call CRO every week (or more) to see if anything's opened up? Wait for discounts and then pounce? Try a travel agent? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed at Poly last Oct and my kids (then DD6, DD4, DS 1.5) loved it. MK is just a couple of stops away from Poly on the monorail and you can walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. My kids loved the Poly pool too. You can get to CR easily from Poly by way of the monorail. We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner our 1st night. From what I've read of CR, unless you're high up enough in the tower, you can get a lot of noise. This was never a problem with Poly. So my suggestion, dont stress about it. If you really would prefer CR, then call back a couple of times, but know that if you don't get it, you'll have a great time anyway.

Both the MK and Hoop dee doo are accessable from the CR or PR by boat or Monorail just a different stop along the way.

Actually, it will be a little easier to get back from FW if you're at the Poly. The boat that goes to CR stops running sometime in the evening (not sure exactly when), and the boat to the MK also stops running after the park closes. If you'll be getting out of HDD after the MK closes, you'd have to get the bus to the TTC anyway. You can walk from TTC to Poly, since they're basically in the same place.
