So I tried to make reservations for our upcoming trip in July for Le Cellier and I got shut down for all 5 days. Everything is super full, although I'm not surprised. Can anyone give me suggestions on whether it's worth it to just head over the restaurant and do the wait list. :confused3

I don't think they even do a wait list. Both times I have eaten there, people were being turned away that were trying to do a walk-up. They were told that absolutely nothing was available.

You can always try to call the day of and see if anything has opened up. But I honestly think it would be a waste of your time to try and walk up to Le Ceiller.

Most of the time (probably 95% of the time) for Le Cellier they don't take walk-ups and in July I'd assume they're going to be packed. You should keep trying back though, you may get lucky with a cancellation like we did in February! The last day of our trip we had an ADR for The Wave (for lunch) and the night before I ran up to concierge at 9:55 (which closed at 10) and managed to change my ADR from The Wave to Le Cellier due to a cancellation a bit earlier that evening.

Keep calling. Call every day if you have to. People do cancel in advance.

I would keep trying to get a ressie, even when you are in the parks give a call. Walk ups have never worked out here that I have seen.

We have at other dining places changed our minds, went with the food court and called to cancel an ADR. (Never Le Cellier, dh would have a stroke but just saying you never know who might cancel.)

Not likely...Most days they have a sign out or tell you they are booked solid No walk ups. Keep trying

A CM once told me to call the morning that I want the ressie that sometimes people's flights get cancelled or changed and they have openings. Or course this would only work if people remembered to cancel their dining ressie. So I would keep calling.
Good luck!:goodvibes

The only time I have ever seen them take a walk up was when we had the very first time for a reservation for lunch. They did take a couple of walk ups then, but only if the whole party was there and ready to eat. So, maybe if you try getting there right before they open you would have luck. The last time I saw this was over Thanksgiving weekend, when it was super busy...so you may or may not have luck. But it's worth a try, Le Cellier is yummy!!

We couldn't get into Le Cellier on our last trip either....I called every single day hoping for a cancelation, but didn't have any luck. I was able to get a ressie from someone who was cancelling hers. Is there a July wanted/not needed reservations thread? If so, keep checking, you might luck out. Hope it all works out for you!:goodvibes

Have you tried to get in for lunch or just dinner? We took a lunch ressie in 2007 when that's all they had available and it was just as good as dinner, and saved us a few dollars. :thumbsup2

We've also called the day before and morning of and gotten into restaurants so keep trying!!!!!

I wouldn't recommend a walk-up. Whenever we've waited (which is always like 45 minutes even with an ADR) they've never accepted anyone for a walk-up. I've seen them direct people to a phone to call dining to find somewhere with an opening and people aren't happy when their only choice in all of Epcot was San Angel Inn!

Called again today to check if anything was available and they did!!!
I have a reservation for 12:00PM on the 3rd of July. I have never tried Le Cellier before so I'm very excited

I've been lucky and have gotten walk up dinner tables at LeCellier a few times, but never tried in the month of July, when I expect it's much busier than the off season when I typically go. I was told to go right at opening and was seated within 15 minutes for a family of four. Sounds like the exception rather than the rule, but I've had success with most restaurants in Epcot as a walk up. You just have to be willing to walk away and try something else. I'm not an ADR fan so it's never been a problem for us - if we don't find a table, we usually head out to the Boardwalk and have luck or just grab something from one of the CS locations in WS.

Echo all the above, not much probablilty in a walk-up - and ya know what...not really that worth it. It is fine food, but it won't make/break your WDW trip.

I would prefer to find something less crowded and less of a 'chore' and spend the time relaxing/talking about your visit. Not trying to edge your way onto a list.

That being said, always try on the day-of, just to see if cancellations have opened up. But more than a quick check...nah. Just a steak.
