Shula's/Yachtsman/Captains Grill/Portobello...?

Trying to plan a really nice dinner for my friend's 40th birthday...never been to any of the above listed restaurants...any feedback or advice would help. Wanted to try someplace new and different but someplace really good as well. Thanks!

You won't go wrong with the first two. I'd skip the last two, especially for a special occasion.

Was very satisfied with Yachtsman while we were there... could cut filet with a fork! Very good service as well..

I'd agree on going with either Shula's or Yachtsman.

You'll probabably get a little better cut of meat at Shula's, but I preferred the service and atmosphere at Yachtsman.

YM has amazing food, excellent service, and a posh but not too stuffy decor.

DH & I had a great meal a few weeks ago at Yachtsman. Would definitely recommend it!
Haven't been to the others to compare though.

Shula's is the clear choice from this group!! Quality and selection better than YSH.

I haven't been to the others but I must eat at Shulas any time I go...Filets are great and I love the chocolate souffle they make...

Shulas and Yachtsman are probably the two nicest places I've been to in DW
