Shula's - walk up or ADR?

During the free dining period, do you think there is much chance of turning up at Shula's one night and getting a table? or is an ADR imperitive?

We tried to walk in to Shula's once. Granted it was a Saturday night. It was in the fall not during a free dining promotion. It would have been about an hour wait. We didn't bother. No one on free dining will be there since it's not an included restaurant, so that shouldn't be a concern. But, it's very popular with conventioneers on expense accounts. Since our experience, I always book at ADR if I want to eat there.

Reservations for Shulas are recommended . I don't think it is on the Dining plan because it is not at disney owned resort to begin with.

Our experience as well. We usually have ADR's anyway, to be safe, but have had plans change and tried to walk-up twice. Once, we were seated within 10 minutes, so we sat in the bar and had a drink before we were seated. The other time, it was going to be an hour and a half wait (convention in town), so we bailed and went elsewhere. Shula's is at the whim of the crowds, and 'conventioneers on expense accounts' seem to flock to the place.

Play it safe, get an ADR.
