Shula's - Drink Limit?

I just read the dining confirmation we were sent for our Shula's reservation and the last thing it says is:
"Guests ages 21 and older may purchase two (2) alcoholic beverages per valid ID."

Does that mean we are limited to two drinks each? Do all Disney restaurants do this? Anyone ever had a problem ordering a third beer? We're a large group and I know this is going to come up with at least some of our party.

No. It means one adult can buy two drinks at a time when purchasing drinks at the bar. Disney used to have a one drink per ID rule, meaning if you wanted to buy a drink for another person and bring it to them you couldn't, but it's now two. Shula's isn't Disney but they seem to be following the same rule.

That rule does not affect the number of adult beverages each adult can order at a table, even if each could only be served two at one time. Usually the way it's done is the adult finishes one beverage before ordering another and that's fine.

Shula's is not a Disney restaurant, for starters. I've never seen anyone with legal ID get turned down at any of the actual Disney bars & drink stands I've been at (even when the people were fairly obviously tipsy) Back to Shula's - While I highly doubt they will actually limit legal drinkers to two drinks, I would guess that disclaimer is in there, and enforced, in the case of a table with mixed-age young adults. Like 1/2 the table is legal & the other 1/2 is not. When the legal folks just might be tempted to "share". With a 2-drink limit Shula's can discourage the temptation to share the booze with under-age buddies.

1) Correct.
2) We came close to getting well soused.
3) And, two drinks doesn't do it to us.
4) They don't mind two-fisted drinkers.
5) They just want two-fisted PLUS using a straw.

It just applies to how many drinks one person can buy at a time not how many times you can go up to the bar and is to stop underage drinking. As someone else posted it used to be one drink per person which was a problem once when DH was trying to get both our drinks because it wasn't practical for me to get there in my wheelchair. Thankfully the guy used common sense and when DH pointed me out (and I waved ) he let him have two and carry them over to me so I could have one - I seem to recall he did watch him though to make sure he brought mine to me and not anyone else!

Yes, and at Universal and Busch it's still one per ID. Don't know why.

Because you could be buying the second drink for someone who's underage, obviously. I'm amazed Disney lets people buy two--here in New Mexico you can't buy two drinks at once ever (except at a liquor store/grocery store) unless the bartender or server sees the other person. I've had my husband order for me at a restaurant when I was in the bathroom, and they wouldn't serve until I was back at the table and they checked my ID.

I bet what it means is if I go up to the bar by myself, I can only purchase 2 alcohalic drinks at a time. I used to work as a server, and that was our rule. We didn't have a limit on how many drinks a person could have, but after their 3rd drink we had to have a managers approval for each additonal drink. They just didn't want people to get drunk. Liability reasons.
