Can you tell me more about these rides? they sound kids rides which would mean I may be able to ride them. Right now im a little sad cause it looks like im gonna spend most of Us sitting out.
wow! a trip to there website has reviled that I just stay home alone. According to there warnings the only things I can do are:
Blues brothers, animal actors, lucy a trubite, Blast zone

How bad is the studio tour in regards to Fog, closed spaces, strobe and motion sickness? I wanna do this one really bad but im worried. I have panic attacks in very enclosed spaces. Fog makes me dizzy and strobes give me a migrane but thats minor.

How bad is the strobe affects in the Shrek thing?

THis is my no list: Anything that could be upgraded to a posibility?

backdraft (noise)
back to the future (jaring movements)
Fear factors (fog)
Jurassic park (small spaces, motion sickness, strobe lighting)
mummy (motion sickness, strobe lighting, fog)
Shrek (strobe)
studio tour (fog, closed spaces, strobe, motion sickness)
special effects (fog,strobe light)
terminator (motion sick, fog, strobe)
Van halisings (fog,strobe,small space, hights)

Shrek is a 3D attraction in the ilk of Mickey's Philharmagic. Minor effects, moving seats, 3D glasses. Jimmy Nuetron is a simulator in front of a large screen that has moving seats. They have stationary seats for both of these rides. You can ride most rides at USF as they are pretty much all rather tame. Islands there may be a few that you have to sit out...depends on whats wrong with you.

****This Post Contains Spoilers! Do not read if you don't want to know about the ride plots****

They are fun rides. Jimmy Neutron is a simulator. In it, Jimmy's nemesis steals a prototype rocket to bring back to his King. Jimmy, Carl, and you (everyone) have to chase down the Yolkian in a rocket chase. You will get bounced around and see a lot of Nicktoon stars, including Spongebob, the Fairly Oddparents, and more. Very fun.

Shrek is a 4-D movie/experience. You watch as Shrek and Fiona are traveling to their honeymoon destination and Farquaad's ghost is trying to take back Fiona. There are water effects, the seats move (not like a simulator) and a few other effects. Tons of fun.

Ive got lung issues (fog)
migranes (strobe lights)
Do tend get motion sick (may attempt a ride or two)
Terrified of hights
HATE FIRE (But am going to see water world and sit in the way back. I love the movie, read the book 8 times, Im not missing it)
and small spaces- Well thats a trip to the er for a panic attack depending on how small.

So I should be ok on jimmy nutron and sherk. How about the studio tour? How long are you in the small space. I was looking at the website and it looks ok. I saw a few things that might make me a bit pensive.

The studio tour at USH is fine. I don't remember fog. There is a section where the tram goes inside a building for Kong, but I don't remember strobe lights. And there's a tunnel you pass thru in another section, but it's not that bad.

A couple notes: USH doesn't have Jimmy Neutron, that is in Florida only.

Also, Van Helsing Maze is currently closed I believe, should reopen sometime in 2007 with a new theme.

You should be ok for the Studio Tour.

Thank you guys!! I was checking out there site and got upset that there wasnt much I could do

FYI, I sat in the stationary seats for Jimmy Neutron (DS3 is too short for the regular seats, so I was with him). IMO, you are too close to the screen to see it well. It seems very disorienting and dizzying even though you're not moving. I would have enjoyed a regular seat much more!

You do realize that the site you're reading about is for Universal Studios Hollywood right?

This is primarily a UO and IOA board. Waterworld and Backdraft are at Universal Hollywood. They aren't at UO.

Sorry for the confusion.

I made a similar post at first, and then quickly realized they were doing a trip out to California, so they would be visiting USH. Most of the advice given so far can apply to either park, except that USH doesn't have Jimmy Neutron.
