How early would you recommend a party of 7 show up for the shows to get seats together? First time on the magic, thank you

15-20 minutes should be fine. Even for Tangled it didn't totally fill that early.

And please all show up together. There is no saving seats.

(I mean, you will see people doing it, but it is technically not allowed. And it is rude.)

We just go when the doors open and we get great seats.

If I remember correctly, the doors open 30 minutes in advance. I recommend getting there at least that early. Depending on how full the ship is, there can be a decent line to get into the theater at that point. I usually get there 45 minutes in advance for 2 people, but that is because we are very picky on where we like to sit.

We had 6 in our party and typically we showed up about 20-30 minutes early (but we liked to sit towards the center front). It never fails though, my 2 DS will need to get up and go tot he restroom about 5 minutes before the show starts and I get paranoid that people think we're "saving" seats. The bladders and those 2...I swear!! Even after I tell them to go back up in the room before we come down . But as @Dug720 mentioned, very rude to save seats, and I've seen people totally sit in the seats others were saving because there isn't supposed to be saving seats and if someone is saving a row of prime seating...too bad, so sad?! Was pretty funny to watch, I have to admit...

Over spring break, we found we needed to be in line when the doors opened. (But we also had a party of 8.) I was surprised how quickly the theater filled up.

It also depends on if you are seeing the first show or the second show. Since more people are on Main dining and see the second show, the second show is much more full. When we did Main dining we found we needed to show up right when the doors opened to get a good seat. With Second seating (watching the first show) we strolled in 10-15 minutes before hand and had no trouble finding lots of options for seats. There were whole rows open.

Just one of the many reasons I greatly prefer second seating for my dining preference.
