Shows Canned Too Soon

Joshua Malina's gotta be on the show! :thumbsup2 He seems to show up on all of Sorkin's projects somewhere along the way! :teeth:

Absolutely! I love him. And Brad Whitford is already on it, and Matthew Perry (who was so good as Joe the Republican lawyer on WW), so there is room for more.

:thumbsup2 The music selections for a lot of those episode certainly added to the goosebumps, especially in episodes like the re-election announcment and the episode when they assassinated Sharif (sp?)

Apparently Snuffy Walden is doing the music for "Studio 60" as well, so you should be getting more goosebumps!

Dead Like Me on ShowTime :furious:

They canned it after 2 seasons... so that was only 26 episodes or so.

So annoying, I dont know why they got rid of it.. there was so much the story could do still... they barely had time to even start the real meat of the show!

I <3 Mason, he made me laugh so much :)
I completely forgot about that show! It was great, so funny!

YES! Greg the Bunny!

I thought I was the only person on the planet who not only watched the show, but watched it faithfully every week. It was hilarious!

OMG I loved when they were trying to update the count guys image...

Cue Card reads: 'Aight
Count says: Ah-ig-it?

:rotfl2:

I thougth of another that made me really ticked off.. It was a strange one but very original! Carnivale on HBO!

Sexy evil Preacher, Cute guy with healing powers, and carnival freaks! How much better could it get?!? I'll tell you... it could have been 4 seasons better if they didn't cancel it after the first 2. The writers had 2 more "chapters" of the story of 2 seasons each all ready to film. I want to know what happens to Brother Justin, Ben and Sofie! Holy crap what a cliffhanger! One that will never be resovled! Now that is pure Evil!

even tho they had good runs I still miss:

Thirtysomething
Sisters
St. Elsewhere

Once and Again

ETA: Oh yeah....and Sports Night! Loved, loved, loved it!

What a fun thread! My list would include:

1. Home Front
2. Mysterious Ways
3. Ed
4. Sisters

Tiger

Oh yeah...loved Homefront too. Still get a little wistful when I see some of the actors on other shows and this was how long ago ??

I totally agree with Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. I loved them soooo much!!!! Also Arrested Development was one of the best shows on t.v. period.

Here's my list

Firefly
John Doe
Dark Angel
Tru Calling
Third Watch

And the only one I haven't seen listed yet is Prey. Debra Messing was a co-star and it was on (I think) the season before she got Will and Grace. They left the show with a cliff hanger.

ITA on Homefront - I wish they'd bring it out on DVD and Freaks and Geeks.

Now here's one that nobody has yet mentioned - I may have been the only person watching!

Brimstone! Starred Peter Horton and John Glover as the devil! (1998)

Ezekial Stone, a former cop, killed his wife's rapist and was later killed himself. He is sent to Hell for his crime. However, 113 evil souls have escaped, and the Devil sends him back to Earth to recover them. Both Stone and the escaped souls can only be harmed or killed by each other, and they can be sent back to Hell if their eyes (the "windows to the soul") are destroyed. If Stone can recover all 113, then he'll be given a second chance at life...or so the Devil says.

Arrested Development.

Bob Loblaw: Actually, I was going to stay in my office tonight and work on my law blog.

Tobias: Of course— the “Bob Loblaw Law Blog.” Wow. You, sir, are a mouthful!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Firefly, Farscape, Arrested Development (this one was wayyyy too soon)

Once and again
Summerland
Commander in Chief
Angel
la Femme Nikita
Allie McBeal

I really miss SUMMERLAND ,I also really liked cupid from quite a few years ago. Why do they do this to us? Alot of good shows are ending this year, but for alot of them it's time.

American Dreams- It ended WAY too soon and left m wanting more. Not to mention that it left with too many loose ends

ED- Finally Ed and Carol, but 4 seasons didn't do this show justice.

Reunion- I really wish that they would have found a new network for this show as it could have survived elsewhere...maybe. I wish that they would have resolved things. It was campy but good.

Dharma and Greg- I had to catch the last season on reruns as we didn't get this channel at school. It was a cute show.

**As for Summerland, it's airing on NOGGIN. (Never seen this show but saw it advertised)
