Hello everyone :D

Thanks to everyone and the information I have found from this website. I was able to make one phone call to the correct individual about our dietary restrictions (celiac disease). As a result, I have received many phone calls and e-mails from the head chefs from each park and from the chefs at each of the restaurants that we have priority seating with. Each individual has been wonderful.

Now, here is my question. How can we show our appreciation to these individuals who have called us to find "what it is that we would like to eat" rather than "what can we eat?" Im already assuming that the meals that they will provide us with will be delicious. If we tip the server generously, then only the server receives the appreciation. Any other suggestions?

disneyatheart, I am glad that your experience has been good so far, and I am sure it will continue to be good.

Good question. I would think that a well thought out, well written letter, sent to upper management would do the trick. Letters (not e-mail) carry a lot of weight when it comes to things like this.

Good Luck, and Have Fun!

Letters, particularly in reference to quality service provided by a chef or executive chef are important to send. Do not try to tip these professionals, they will be insulted. The letters will make their way into the respective personnel files and can count toward evaluations and raises.

Thank you Maistreqracey and DVCOKW96-

I had planned to write a letter for our service. Im going to be taking a small notebook with me to be sure that I write down the chef's name and to write something special down about what they did for us. However, Im not sure to whom I should address it to or where to send it. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find this information?

Thank YOU!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

The writing of letters sounds like a terrific idea. How about ordering some What Would Walt Do pins to award to those who went out of their way to take care of your meals? That way they have a momento, and they can read what you had to say on the website? Here is a link:

Howdy,

We were @ WDW in May 2002 and a person in our party had ALS (Lou Gerhics' disease). Well, I sent letters to every person on the the list that I got from the rumors board and I received responces from them all!

It made this trip the best that you could imagine... so write a letter it only will cost you .37 cents.

Dude:bounce:
