Showers at the Contemporary Health Club?

Quick question, but does anybody know if there are showers at the Contemporary Health Club and whether the front desk will give you a key to the health club the day of arrival even if your room isn't available?

Reason I'm asking is I will be arriving at WDW very early in the morning (8:00-ish) after a long overnight connecting flight. Since the earliest I've ever been able to check into a room at WDW is around noon, I'd really like to take a shower and then head on over to MK for the morning before checking in. Do-able? It would be hard for me (as well as the people standing in line beside me) to enjoy the park if I couldn't at least wash-up beforehand.

I don't know that the CR has a fitness center....I think (and I am not at all sure about this) that the CR uses the fitness center at the GF.

No -- the Contemporary DOES have its own health club, although I'm not sure if it has showers. You can call the CR and have the front desk connect you. Call 407-824-1000.
