Shower Seat Hire

Are you able to hire Wheelchair / commode style shower chairs from Disney? as my husband cannot use the ones that fix on the wall in the showers,

I've had a few quotes from external companies, but just wondered if Disney did anything like this.

Shower benches can be requested at WDW resorts. I don't believe there is any additional fee. I believe there are 2 types of accessible rooms - those with a roll-in shower, and those with a regular tub and handrails. There shouldn't be any extra charge involved. However, I recall reading one post that suggested checking to make sure the screws on a shower bench are tight.

You request them from housekeeping or at front desk when checking in. They are free. We do this every trip. Most flip down shower chairs are unfortunately broken off the wall. Not every handicap room has roll in shower this must be specifically requested otherwise you get a regular step in shower with handrails.
