I grew up in a house where we always had to wipe down the bathroom walls after a shower (no shower doors, we had a curtain). My mom's tile is still like new and house is nearing the 50-year mark (like me!)
Anyway, we had our small master bath totally redone a little over a year ago and got clear shower doors to not only make the room appear larger but also so that we could always admire the pretty tile we picked out for inside the shower. Hubby ALWAYS uses a squeegie thing to wipe away water after his shower. I (despite my upbringing) am not as consistent in doing same. And forget about teenson. However, the doors still look brand new. Every now and again I'll use Dow? Scrubbing Bubbles to clean and rinse. In the beginning I was using one of those sprays for after each shower but that lasted only as long as the first bottle did.
We also chose the frameless and grooveless doors like so many are talking about here and had doors special ordered at a higher height so hubby could walk into shower without worrying about his head. The people redoing our bathroom ordered the doors from some shower company.

) I prefer the shower door because it lets more light in. It's not a huge door so it's not a chore to clean either.
