? Showboat Casino Atlantic City NJ

Anyone stay at this property and can give me some feedback? Only staying for 1 nite in May for Anniversary. Has the rooms been renovated? Are there alot of amenities? Would you stay or go somewhere else?

My husband and I stayed there in August. The room we stayed in was not updated, even though I'm told it was in the newer tower. It was fine for one night. The bathroom was clean but the room was not pristine (dust in corners, along bed platform, a stain on the chair). Also, I could hear any noise out in the hallway. The gaming floor was nice and House of Blues is there. I would not pay more than $79 a night.
Personally, I like Harrah's at the Marina. Spotless clean, but not on the boardwalk.

I like Ceasar on the boardwalk or Borgata off the boardwalk.

Caesars has some great rooms. Ours had a tv built into the bathroom mirror, nice glass enclosed shower, flat screen in the bed area. Much nicer than I expected. Weve also stayed in showboat and it's ok if your getting a deal. Room wasn't updated, but it was decent for a night. Casino area and house of blues are nice. We had dinner in the mansion, which has separate rooms decorated like a mansion, we were in the library. Stayed in harrahs once too and it was ok, we weren't in the new tower, the bus to the boardwalk took forever.

Borgata was awesome, but expensive and not on the boardwalk.

borgata off the boardwalk, Trop on the boardwalk (it is down the opposite end from showboat. SHowboat is okay, but dont pay more than like 69-79, thats all its worth IMHO, though I like the location better....they usually put you in the ? tower when it is the cheaper cost (name escapes me) when at showboat, its the older one, adequate but nothing to write home about...

If you stay at the Borgata or Harrah's or whatever the new one is that used to be the Trump Marina, I would go to Brigantine for the beach. It is an island right over the bridge there and is way nicer than the beaches in AC.

We went to Caesars in February mid week for 2 nights- got a great deal. It was the highest rated casino on the boardwalk on tripadvisor at the time. We visited all the boardwalk casinos and I think I would stay at Tropicana next time... SHowboat and Trump Taj seemed a little beat up to me...

Bogota? (sp?) is suppose to be wonderful but more $$ and not on the boardwalk...

Also the so called "outlet shopping" right there was not at outlet prices... Jill
