Myself and my 6 yr old dd are going to dlp in July (school hols) we have ap's. I have booked us into sejours apartments at val d Europe, (which I might add I was quite happy with). I recently read somewhere on here about 'show you card' rates ( my aa card is a show your card) at magic circus and dream castle. Anyhow about a week ago I emailed to ask what the price would be for me n dd for our dates in July at the show your card rate. Today they have just emailed mr back and quoted me just 90 euros per night for either hotel. Now am I rightin thinking that this is a really good deal? Also as both hotels would be the same cost which would be the best choice? Thanks in advance :) x

90 euros per night in July is okay :).
Both are basically the same hotel with a slightly different theme. Magic Circus has a subtle circus theme, Dream Castle has a medieval castle theme. They are sister hotels, owned and run by the same company, same furniture, same toiletries etc etc etc.

The Magic Circus hotel is one pick-up on the shuttle buses earlier than the Dream Castle (Dream Castle is last pick-up and drop-off on the shuttle run).

Thanks for that :) the same dates without the show your card rate are coming up at £151 per night. Is it worth cancelling my apartment booking and staying at one of these instead? Thanks :)

for me it depends on the difference in price between the aparts you've already booked, and the 90 euros per night you've been quoted. Do you have a fully cancellable rate for your apartment booking?

No, it would cost me £55 to cancel, the apartment was £280. If I change to one of the others than that's 360 euros so about £320, plus I'd have to pay the £55, which I don't really mind paying. Breakfast would be included. At the hotels where it's not at the apartment. They also have pools. I also wouldn't have to travel to val d Europe late at night on my own with a 6 yr old lol :)

yes but you would have to jump on a very busy crammed shuttle bus with your 6-year old late at night.

I like the associated hotels and would pick them over val d'europe if the price is about the same, but if its a lot cheaper to stay at the apartment I'd stay there.

Does the shuttle to dream castle and circus get as crammed as the shuttles to say Santa Fe and cheyenne? What about the shuttle to val d Europe ? We normally end up getting fed up of the pushing n shoving when it comes to the shuttles and have ended up walking.

yes they are all as bad as each other to be honest.

At least with the RER train journey to val d'europe you're not going to be crammed in like sardines.

I m so unsure what to do now :/ my dd would love one of those hotels I think. We have only stayed at Santa Fe and cheyenne before, so would it make it a bit more of a 'magical' trip for dd to stay at one of those 2 hotels? Is there any taxis near the shuttles to get to the hotels?

you can walk to the Magic Circus and Dream Castle hotels (although it will seem like a long walk when you're tired and its late). Yes, they are much nicer hotels than the Santa Fe and Cheyenne :). I've done the shuttle buses to the associated hotels several times with just me and my DD, from when she was aged 7 onwards. Just hold her firmly by the shoulders when the bus stops and everyone gets on, and walk her in front of you so you don't get separated when its busy. Its much easier dealing with the shuttle buses when theres just the 2 of you and no pushchairs to sort out as well!

Think I'm def drawn to the dream castle :) think my dd would love it. As the parks are open till 11 when we are there I wanted to come back for a few hours late afternoon, think it would be perfect here. Guess I would have to just grin n bear the shuttle lol :) Every site I've priced up with for staying there is double what I've been quoted so think I'd be daft not to lol :) thanks for your help Daft :)

That will just be a double room as that's what we got quoted But my wee one sleeps in a bed with a rail not a cot so emailed them back and for a family room (double with bunk beds) its ¬100 a night. Still super cheap.

we've had double rooms in both the Dream Castle and Magic Circus - they have big king size beds in them, so there is plenty of room for the 2 of you.

I can second that - the beds in DC were huge! Very comfy too and the toiletries were L'Occitaine (sp?) very swish ;)
