Show us your e-rings/wedding rings/promise rings . . .

My e-ring was originally white gold but we switched it over to platinum for this reason. White gold is yellow gold dipped in nickel/zinc and a rhodium finish. It needs to be re-rhodiumed 1-2x per year to maintain its color. DF got the extended warranty on my ring so it would be free, but after three years it would cost $90-180/year to keep it from looking yellow. I had my ring a little over a month when I reset it and the yellow was already visible in the crook of the mount.

Yeah, DH's wedding band is yellowing a bit (2 years later) and I'd love him to get it re-dipped but he refuses to take it off, which is totally romantic but I don't want him to end up with a yellow gold band :headache: My platinum wedding band needs to be polished and dipped in rhodium but I don't want to take it off either. What I love about platinum is, even if it looks scratched or chipped, it's not - you never lose any of the metal and once it's polished it looks good as new!

This is my e-ring minus the small diamonds closest to the solitare(my ring just has the baguettes)

Here is my e-ring. The DF got the band from Ireland and the stone from a Jeweler that he is friends with.. I just love it!!!

I love your ring. I looked at several different Irish styles as we are both of Irish heritage. I ended up with a different style in the end, but yours is beautiful.

There are two options for the style of the wedding band for this e-ring. One is just plain and simple. The other has a diamond channel setting. I think I'm leaning towards something simple. My DF and I are planning on having a special message engraved in our bands, as well. :)

aww I hadn't really considered engraving our rings, but now I might...that would be pretty nifty. :) Being on these wedding boards is gonna get me in trouble...I have most of my stuff done and don't need to be changing my mind. I have our cake picked out and ordered and just yesterday I saw a cake on the wedding boards and fell in love with it (thank goodness there is still time to change my mind.):goodvibes

DF and I decided on the PERFECT thing to have engraved into our rings. Mine will say "bunches and bunches" and his "more than bunches". From the first time we said i love you we'll always said "i love you bunches and bunches more than bunches, forever and ever and always". So we took that and broke it up and will have it put in our wedding bands :)

I love that. I saw the band online and fell in love with it. Im looking for something of a similar style for my wedding ring

I'm pretty sure I posted my e-ring, but don't think I ever posted a picture of our wedding rings. Mine's the one on top:

are those by jb star? i think my wedding ring is the one the bottom, but with canary diamonds in the middle!

Not that I know of... but I'm going to go look at their website now :)

They were the result of trying to find rings in the same price range... I like simple and modern, she likes ornate and antique looking. It was hard!

EDIT:
I found the website... you may be right!

Hey everyone, wedding is in february and I wanted to show off our bands. I really really love them. Mine is the first and it is custom made. I wanted it to be unique so what did I do....I have lightning bolts all the way around in white gold. The ring is special though...it is my dads old wedding band...he left us about 2 years ago around Christmas. The second ring is the fiances and hers is more of a celtic thing. She is both irish and scottish and she absolutely loves hers.
