Hahaha the picture of course!! The ring is 0.70 carats in platinum and absolutely perrrrrfect. It looks massive in that picture but is actually very proportional to my finger (not too huge or too small). I couldn't love it more! I can't wait to shop for my band!

Now that I'm married I can post my wedding band and engagement ring together! Woohoo, here they are:

My e-ring is a 1.4 carat diamond in a 14K yellow gold vatche band w/ platinum prongs and my wedding band is also 14k yellow gold w/ platinum prongs and consists of 9 .1 carat diamonds....we were married on our 9 year anniversary, so 1 diamond for every year

Thanks I actually had it custom made. It's by a NYC company called Facets, you can check out their website here: http://www.thefacetscollection.com. My ring is actually a very slightly modified version of this ring: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/item.cfm?item_id=2107. I just had them set the diamonds SLIGHTLY lower, so they wouldn't bump into the basket of my solitaire. They use extremely high quality diamonds and their work is phenomenal. I know other people who have bought diamonds/wedding bands from them and I've only heard good things from them. Their prices are extremely competitive too--I priced a similar ring at a local jeweler (Smyth in Towson, MD) and they gave me a price of $3,000 and their diamonds were not cut as well as Facets' diamonds (I paid $1,800 at Facets). I highly recommend them

I can't wait to post mine on here!!! We bought the e rign in FEBRUARY!!!! He wanted to let me pick it out since I'm not a "big" jewelry girl and he had no idea what I would really like! And he said "since you are going to be wearing it for the rest of your life i want you to love it!!" LOL Since I got to pick out the ring he wants to wait a bit to surprise me with the proposal!! The suspense is killing me though!!! I love it so much and can't wait to wear it!!!

This is my ring almost exactly - I'm having problems posting my ring pic so I "borrowed" yours - THANK YOU!!! Mine's a 4 prong platinum 1.7k eek solitaire set in 14k gold. (Did anyone else almost have a heart attack when you saw the appraisal of your ring? We had to get our put on our renter's insurance policy and I just about died at the insurance guy’s desk! Yes I know he didn't pay that price but still ... )



We were hoping to do something similar for my wedding band but also use sapphires, but I just pointed in the direction of two sites with a bunch of titanium mixed with gold bands (I'm a gold girl - he's a silver (or silver colored) boy and I think I may like the look of dark titanium).

He set it in the claddaugh because he felt it represented everything he wanted in a marriage - love, loyalty, and friendship. I got the band designed at Jared's and had a FABULOUS time working with them. This is actually the picture they took at the store.

Everybody's got such beautiful rings posted here! Mine is a small ring at about a 3rd of a carat, with tiny pave diamonds around the center diamond, and on the sides of the band. It's got a real old fashioned look to it, which is what I was looking for. Like I said it's not big, but I think it fits my hand perfectly. My fiance proposed with another type of gemstone ring, and let me pick out my ring at Tiffany & Co. while we were in San Francisco the day after our engagement.
