the link is not working for me. :confused3

Sorry about that - here is my ring - they are 3 ovals with the center one larger than the side ones on a simple white gold band

Can someone tell me how to post pics on here? I thought I saw it somewhere, but can't find it now. I'd like to post a pic of my ring too. Thanks! :)

Here is a pic of my engagement ring, I wanted something slightly different and I love trillion cut diamonds. Only thing is I never thought about the Wedding Ring when he bought it, looks like I may have to get a shaped one to fit the engagement ring :confused3

I've got my promise ring! He gave it to me a few weeks ago... I've never ever gotten one before!

Everybody's got such beautiful rings posted here! Mine is a small ring at about a 3rd of a carat, with tiny pave diamonds around the center diamond, and on the sides of the band. It's got a real old fashioned look to it, which is what I was looking for. Like I said it's not big, but I think it fits my hand perfectly. My fiance proposed with another type of gemstone ring, and let me pick out my ring at Tiffany & Co. while we were in San Francisco the day after our engagement.

I know it's been a while since you posted your ring, but I love it! I just thought I'd let you know! And I work in a Jewelry store and look at E-rings all the time, but it never gets old. I love the vintage look of your ring, it will never go out of style! (and it's not the size of the center stone that really matters, it's the look as a whole!) I think your ring is perfect! I can't wait to post mine...It's in the safe at work, I want it to be a suprise so I haven't looked! All I told him was that I wanted a Round Leo Diamond in the center, he told me that he wanted me to pick out the whole thing. I told him no, that all the other girls get someone to pick it out and just b/c I work in the jewelry store doesn't mean I didn't want the same suprise. So, we started planning our DFTW and he picked out the ring (with some help of my co-workers) And ordered it in. I wouldn't even know it was in the store except one of the girls slipped and told me it was in! Oh well!!! Can't wait to see it!!

just thought i'd send a big "THANKS" to everyone who posted their rings up here!!! :yay:

because...

i was talking to my boyfriend online the other night, and we started talking about the disboards...and i can't remember how exactly, but eventually it came down to him asking "just out of curiosity" which rings were my favorite! :teeth:

of course, i went through all 15 pages and let him know. :rotfl: LOL this thread made it easy for me to give him some great ideas....

hopefully it will be me posting a picture up here sometime soon! :cloud9:

FSUDisneyGirl, Me too!!

Good luck to you, and maybe we both will have some good news soon :thumbsup2

White gold girls:

I have been engaged for 3 years now and am getting married in November. Apparently white gold turns back to its original state after a while. My ring now has a faint yellowish tint to it.

Anyone else had this problem with white gold?

:::Dang it! I knew I should have gotten married when it was new and shiny!::: :clown:

I don't know about white gold, but Platinum gets a patina. My e-ring was nowhere near as shiny as my wedding band and we only got engaged 9 months prior to the wedding. I'd be curious about white gold though, DH got white gold instead of platinum (anything to save a few $$) :rotfl:

Yes, my white gold e-ring has a yellowish tint. My sister who used to work in a highend jewelry store said its normal. She also said you can have it dipped.

Yes, white gold does do that, but it varies per person, each person's oils in their body cause a different reaction to white gold.

You can have it rodium (sp?) plated and it looks brand new each time, most jewelry stores do this for free if it was purchased from them! Don't fret just ask about the rodium plating and it will return to its shiny new state! :wizard:

It's ok, and both White Gold and Plat can be returned to looking brand new! (I'm a jeweler) As the other diser said, White gold can be Rhodium Plated. It's a metal in the Plat family and it brings it back to the shiney bright white it was when you got it. Unfourtunatly, you will have to do this every so often when it starts to turn. It does depend on you own body on how quickly this will happen, but it's easily fixed. With Plat, it tends to be scratched easily. It's a much denser metal, but it can be buffed back to its shiney appearance. It's not as easy as buffing gold and the jeweler has to have the proper buffer, but it can be done! Plat is a natural white metal, so it will never turn! Well, I hope that helps. If anyone has any jewelry care/maintence questions, feel free to PM me. I love to help! :sunny:

How long does it take to get it rodium plated? My wedding is in 25 days and im freaking out when comparing it to the band. lol- I might have to hide my hand in the pictures- :scared1:
