So I was lucky enough to get Palo on our Pirate night for our cruise in 4 days :santa:

So my question is we have a 7pm-9pm reservation and how early we can show up? Or should we show up?

Looks like based on others navigators that the Pirate night thing is not until 10:15pm which we should be good with but the nightly entertainment (whatever that might be) will be 6:15-7 or 8:30-9:15. If we wanted to attend that we would need to end dinner a touch early.

Or is the pirate night show never really that special as really the main event is the fireworks show on the main deck?

Are you picking up kids to go also?
If you’re just adults and sailing on the Dream (or Fantasy) there is an outside bar right by Palo we like to watch the fireworks from there. There are usually only one or two couples out there. So no crowds. But you can’t hear the music. It’s an amazing view from the back of the ship.

No kids but there is a play or something prior to the fireworks correct? Or is that just "okay" and not really worth worrying about. On the Fantasy by the way.

With that timing you would miss whatever is in the Walt Disney Theater. If that’s unacceptable to you, try to change to 6-8.

Typically, on Pirate Night, the WDT has an individual entertainer, no production show. The showroom cast members are involved with the entertainment on deck that night.

And, the individual entertainer will usually have another show at another time during the cruise.

Oh, I was recently on a three night, so yes, a production show.

There is a show (if you want to call it that) on the stage on the pool deck. It’s crowded and unless you get there early to get a close spot to stand you really won’t see that much.
I think it’s something you can miss

There is absolutely no reason to rush a Palo dinner to catch the pirate night party, imo. No-brainer for me, especially since you'll be done well before the fireworks.

I've never shown up to Palo/Remy before our alotted time, so I'm not sure how early they will take you.

You can check in whenever you want really, but they will offer that you enjoy some time in meridian to wait until they are ready for you. We show up about 10 minutes prior, enjoy a pre dinner cocktail, then enjoy our time in Palo. If you want to leave by a certain time, let your server know. I agree that missing the deck party isn't the end of the world, the fireworks are nice enough.

For some reason I thought the deck outside Meridian was closed as part of the fallout zone. This is a game-changer! Intake long exposure photos of the fireworks usually from deck 13 forward starboard but would love to see from the aft.
